 "NO GO"
Shared bathroom wasn't a good idea.
Dirty and stinky. Shower was blocked and overflowing.
Room was tiny but quite clean. Only one electric socket was working (3 in a room) and only one light switch was working ( 2 in room )
There was a sink in a room which was making strange noises from time to time.
Positive - free wifi, free breakfast and very good location.

 "Manofa minutes away from everywhere"
Hotel very basic, bordering on grim, however, after the shock of the bleakness of the Hotel, we quickly realised what a fabulous location it is in. Near everywhere, within walking distance of Dam Square, Royal Palace, shops, bars, restaurants, Red Light District, canals, museums.

It is actually very clean, just needs some upgrading. If you are looking for a central location and won't be in the Hotel much then perfect. Basic breakfast, but you can make toasties, cereals, juice, hams, cheeses, not many budget Hotels offer this.

 "centre of town"
Not exactly the ritz but you get what you pay for, saying that my room really could have done with a lick of paint as was looking grubby. Shower needs fixed! Apart from those things this place was ok.

 "Rats"
The worth memory of hotel Manofa was rats! In the midnight we woke up and saw that the rats were running in our room on the beds! The next day when we told the reception about it, they told us that it was the problem of all old hotels in Amsterdam and they couldn't do anything, they even didn't apologize for it.

 "experience at hotel"
The rooms were generally poor standard for the price of £80 a night which we had to pay to stay on the first floor. The bed sheets were old and were not changed in the three nights we stayed at the hotel. The hotel is in a very good central location with in the city centre. Easy access when ever you walk out of the hotel and get back after a city tour or out of city tour. The hotel staff were friendly acted professionally and always helpful.

 "Great location but poor hotel"
This was a great location but hotel was prity run down. It was great as it had breakfast included. The room was very dark and small, we had a triple room was not big enough for 3 people. We constantly had problems with our swipe card to get into the room and there is a lot of steps to the room. The hotel constantly smelt of smoke and was unpleasant at times. Only had wifi in reception area not in the room.

 "Good location"
Great location, hotel was bit very good not a place u would stay in more than once. We was on the third floor and the stairs was very steep, the curtain was hanging off the rail and the tv looked like it was going to fall off the sloping shelve having said all that. The reception staff was very very helpful

"OK If you want somewhere for a stag or hen"
This hotel, if you can call it that, I would call it a hostel, is fine if you want to be slap bang in the middle of Amsterdam with some mates. It has beds and a sink, and a toilet, and a shower, just about. I would never in a million years stay here with my family, but if you want cheap and cheerful and no need for taxis and trams and trains, and just somewhere to sleep, it will do. Staff were nice enough and it was just about clean, but it is basic beyond belief

 "Manofa Hotel - Amsterdam"
Manofa Hotel is conveniently situated close to the station. Good value for money and if you are looking for the real Amsterdam experience - this is it! On the Damrak where all the action is. Lovely breakfast as well! We enjoyed our stay!

 "Never again"
Granted this hotel is easy to find and in a very central location but I can say that it has to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in !! There were rats in our room and when I complained it fell on deaf ears it was disgusting !!

 "Weekend in Amsterdam"
Very central! So it was noisy but that was expected! Breakfast ok - slightly minimal. Bed Linen poor - hair, stains, holesStaff friendly and helpful - one male receptionist sang all night!! The room location was not good, you hear everyone coming and going and it was next to the cleaning closet which was in use every morning. Overall it was ok, convenient more than anything!

"Too expensive for what it is"
The building is old. Room too small and not properly painted. Tiny closet, not hangers. Shower broken, toilet dirty and broken. Breakfast was ok.It is in the center but it is too expensive for what they offer.

 "Extremely good value for money"
I stayed for two nights then missed my flight and stayed another nightThe staff were extremely accommodating and the WiFi was superbI stayed on the first floor - this appears to be where they put the quieter guests so if you want a pleasant stay try getting a room on that floor as I understand some of the higher floors can get a bit noisyThe breakfast is basic but what I expected at the priceI liked the Hotel that much that I went back after missing my flight and they were able to get me on the first floor againI had some heating problems but these were solved withing minutes (they gave me an electric fan heater)I will definitely stay here again next year

 "manofa room 307, 14th-17th jan 13"
Great location.. For the price we paid basically We expected a not very clean room with single beds and a shared bathroom. When booking i requested if possible double bed and a view of the street.. We were really really happy when we arrived, lovely reception area with vending machines, helpful staff.. And in our room they had made us a double bed from 2 singles, we had 3 giant windows which looked down onto busy Damrak and.. AN ENSUITE BATHROOM! We were over the moon.. Breakfast was basic but very tasty.. We will definately return to Manofa!! They only problem we had is that we thought we had already paid the hotel, but that was our own fault for not reading the small print which says hotel must be paid on arrival, thankfully my parter had brought his credit card or we would have had little spending money left if he didnt

"you pay for what you get"
just the average hotel in that area of Amsterdam. Very well located, but hothing more. Friendly staff and average breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. Very uncomfortable the long stairs that leads to the lobby. I do no know if there isan elevator, since my room was at the lobby level.

"worst hotel ive ever stayed in."
Infested by mice...!!! They were in the roof. I could hear them running around. Claws scratching the roof panels. On the last morning there were 3 mice actually in the room running around on the floor. Shocking.....This hotel should be shut down by health and safety.!!! we had booked a smoking room but when we got there they checked us into a non-smoking. When we noticed I went to reception and was told the hotel didn't have smoking rooms. Its a joke because I could have got a really nice hotel for the same price if I had booked non-smoking. All in all it completely wrecked the trip and was by far the worst hotel I've ever been unfortunate to stay in. be warned.......

"barren rooms, but a bargain stay"
I hadn't seen any bugs or anything, and the rooms are pretty empty except for the beds, an old tv, and a sink. But the rates are good, and it's a great location to stay if you're only in the room to sleep.
