Hotel Manofa is located in the middle of the city centre, at the Damrak. Damrak is one of the main streets of Amsterdam and is within walking distance of most attractions, shopping areas, bars and restaurants. Kalverstraat, the main shopping street, is close by, only 2 minutes on foot and straight across the street there are many touring boats so you can go for a tour trough the famous canals. The great advantage is that this hotel is less than 5 minutes walking distance from Amsterdam Central Station with a 20-minute express link to Schiphol International Airport. The staff was friendly and very helpful. the location is excellent-right there on the tourist strip.
The down-side of the location is that it is very noisy. parties in surrounding rooms and noise out on the street went on all night. Anonymous

A very good location. the hotel is located on the busy damrak street. a short walk from all key tourest attractions, the red light district is only a couple minutes away as well as supermarkets.Anonymous

The staff were friendly and the location is perfect. they were happy to look after my bags prior to check-in and before my flight home.Its seriously basic and the hotel itself is quite run down. the room had a prison-cell feel and the dubious stains on some of the bedding were slightly off-putting.
its ok if you just want somewhere to sleep (and are inhibriated enough to not care about anything else).
whilst it was relatively cheap i dont feel it offered great value for money - i wouldnt go back!Anonymous

The most positive experience i had in hotel manofa was checking out...because it's a hole, a hovel, an all in all bad times place to be. the only positive thing about hotel manofa was the fact that there were no bed bugs in our room, unlike some poor sods that left reviews on other various websites (i found these reviews complete with pictures less than 24hrs before going to amsterdam, bad times)Our bed was situated in a closet, with an en-suite closet complete with a toilet and shower head...you think i'm exagerating?!?! i dare you to stay there.Anonymous

The staff were friendly and the hotel was cleanOur room did not resemble in any way the ones pictured on the website. it was very small and very basic with minimal furnishings, poor lighting. no easy way out in a fire. it was not worth the money. i would have happily paid a third of the price if i had known in advance how decrepit the place was.Anonymous

you can smoke cannabis here
you can take alcohol to the room they dont really enforce the no food ruleThere was a chocolate vending machine in the lobby and they were attempting to sell two mini snickers for 2euro its just shocking, only bad point though... which is goodslevin
