we did not have hot water for the first night and they did not solve it until the next day afternoon. It was a tiny room for three people. we paid almost 400 euros for 2 nights and the room was smaller than a single room and the service was terrible. wireless connection was very poor in the room too. Totally unhappy with the room. The only good things about it was the cleanliness of the toilet was good though it was very small.

"Good location, Bad night!!"
Very small room. Three times fire-alarm (fake) in the night. Just excuses for the bad night, nog compensation at all.

"Not quite what we were expecting! 3 STAR?!"
The pictures on the website didn't show a true likeness to the room we stayed in, for example, no outside window in the room, we were on the fourth floor....with no lift, this wasn't mentioned on the website, the room was small and basic, the tv was small, the curtains were not clean at all, no kettle or drinks, the bed & covers weren't the best. The Internet was slow and the reception was very bad, especially on the fourth floor! The website described the hotel as 3 star but the hotel rated itself 2 star! On the plus side.....breakfast was a bargain, only a short walk. The people who worked there were really nice and friendly, helpful with local info and keen to help, this made up for the poor room. Overall a good place to crash in the centre of Amsterdam, but don't expect too much!

"So so"
Didn't actually stay in hotel Paganini as they put us in their sister hotel- Vivaldi just down the road.. although they did not tell us this until we tried opening the bedroom door in Paganini and it didnt work- staff were not very helpful or friendly- lacking in people skills.Room was clean and had a good shower in the bathroom- fresh towels every day.Room was very small- more like a hostel room with bunkbeds- for someone to walk to the bathroom everyone else had to sit on their beds pretty much! Its in a fairly quiet area- can't hear people from bars etc but do hear traffic which is non-stop.All in all it was ok for our needs, just as a place to sleep which was clean, close to centre of town- Dam squares about a 30min walk, Leisplein about 10mins, Could have done with the staff being more specific about which hotel we were in and more polite..Also be aware tax is added on after so the price they quote you doesn't include tax and if you pay on card they charge an extra 3%.

"Decent Enough"
When we arrived at the address there was a sign up explaining to go to reception a couple of doors down which was for two different hotels in the area. There was no smoking allowed, the television did not work but the location was great! Even before we left we had wanted to go to the Heineken brewery, the hotel turned out to be located almost right beside it, and that always made it easier for us to find our way back, using the brewery as an obvious landmark ...etcWe werent allowed to have 2 keys for the room, which we usually ask for when we travel. I find it is safer if the group have 2 keys incase we get seperated...Pretty decent hotel other than that we didnt have any problems

"Paganini Amsterdam"
PLUS : The location is good, easy to find, close to tram and ammenities. Receptionist are friendly.MINUS : Room is very small and crampy. There is no water heater to make tea or coffee, no cups, nothing. Room service is limited on replacing bath towel only. There is no make up room, no replacing bed sheets (even for 5 night I stayed there). No cleaning of room (no sweeping/mopping floor), no take out any trash in trash bin (if they're not aked to do it). No elevator. Wifi was down during 5 days stayed there.

"It was not perfect but ok"
Its to loud in the hotel but the location is good . It was clean in my room and the bathroom . The bed was old and I got pain in my back ... The wifi at the hotel don't work but at the reception I could use wifi .
We had to change room because ours was below the staircase, with a window opening in the stircase, just a grid separating the room and the stairs, very noisyThe second room was dirty and it smelt very bad!The staff isn't friendly at all.

"Great helpful staff!"
Pros: Great helpful staff!
Cons: Considering the price we paid we had expected much more. the room we stayed in the first night wasn't too bad, but we had to change the second night and the room was smelly, the ugly red carpet on the ground had a bunch of stains, and it just didn't have a very good feel to it. also, the location is not ideal, since it's a bit far from the heart of the city and it takes about 30 minutes to get anywhere in the city.
