The hotel is located opposite the Amsterdam City Zoo called 'Artis'. The hotel is located between 5 and 15 minutes walking distance from Amsterdam Central Station, Dam square and Rembrandt square; the old city centre of Amsterdam is very confined and approximately three kilometres wide; All the main features are located in this area.
How to reach the Hotel Plantage?1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).
2) From Amsterdam Central Station: Take tram number 9 to the Zoo (Artis). The stop is called 'Plantage Kerklaan' (7th stop including Amsterdam Central Station). The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

The beds were comfortable, the room was very clean, the bathrooms were very nice, and there was plent of information about the area available, the free internet was very useful.
The only problem was a very m,inor one and it was that the shower was not on a proper stand so i had to hold it, also the price when we were looking for a hotel was cheap then we booked and it was suddenly about £o more expensive (it was still fairly cheap though!)Anonymous

Nice place, they don't bother you if you don't bother them. never heard nay of the other guests and the place was full.Too far away from the town, and the shower wasn't awesome.Hanson

This has nothing to do with the hotel itself i suppose, but the walls seemed very thin- either that or our neighbours were just generally very loud!! that and the road was being dug up right outside the hotel, and a 6am wake up by road diggers whilst on honeymoon wasnt exactly romantic, nor relaxing!WOOD

Hotel is well locatedThis hotel is very poorly presented, service is an optional extra you hassle for. the room was tiny and the bathroom a joke. there was a better cheaper hotel 50m away. it was clean.Anonymous
