Stayed here when running the marathon. Easy access to city centre on all forms of transport and also to start of race. Basic hotel; clean and tidy and reception staff very helpful. Will stay there again definitely.

The room was clean and a good size. Quiet in the room and outside the hotel but close enough to the main city center. The coffee machine in reception was great. The staff were friendly. I would stay again.

only 20mins walk to city centre - also tram stop right around the corner
free wifi in room also one desktop at the reception area.
Cons: No tea/coffee facility in the room. has to buy from vending machine.
steep steps but not a problem if you only carry a backpack.

Pros: Staff did fix what was wrong when they were told.
Cons: Disliked the wetroom/shower. quite a lot wrong eg bulbs, safe when we arrived

Pros: We had an attic room and enjoyed our stay there. the beds were comfortable (except for the pillows) and the room was clean. only down side would be the many steps, but we knew about that when we booked. the staff were friendly and helpful.

Pros: Staff helpful and friendly. secure. can come and go when you please. reasonable walking distance from town. trams running regularly for 20m from hotel entrance
Cons: A little noisy at times. this was due to the room being next to reception. wouldn't put me off using this hotel again.

Pros: Location is excellent with tram 9 at the door going to the centre. and next to artis zoo!
rooms are spacious for amsterdam and very clean and will be cleaned upon request. big +
no breakfast but good options (restaurants/cafes) on groundfloor. great chinese on the opposite corner and also koosje cafe is really good.
Cons: Prepare for steep stairs - amsterdam style :)
one staff was very rude when i rang the bell because i forgot the key when going out and could not get back into the hotel (door closes and can be opened only with key). he told me after 5 minutes of ringing the door and calling reception on my phone that he was fed up with people always forgetting their keys and that it was too bad for me...astonishing! in all fairness i must say that the manager was extremely nice.

Pros: The hotel receptionist were very nice. we stayed in 5 bed room. its very basic but that's what you need in amsterdam. about 20 min walk to town centre and red light district. its a nice walk though.

Pros: Wij vonden de lokatie perfect: stapt lijn 9 uit en staat met je trolleykoffertje aan de overkant van het hotel. we gingen 's-avonds naar de wereld draait door: andere overkant van de straat !!! en de volgende dag naar de hermitage (om de hoek ) bovendien is binnen 30 meter het café tante koosje waar je 's-middags al een heel gezellige sfeer aantreft.
dit hotel is eenvoudig ...maar heeft alles wat je nodig hebt en is bovendien ook schoon.

Pros: The beds were comfortable, the room was very clean, the bathrooms were very nice, and there was plent of information about the area available, the free internet was very useful.
Cons: The only problem was a very m,inor one and it was that the shower was not on a proper stand so i had to hold it, also the price when we were looking for a hotel was cheap then we booked and it was suddenly about £o more expensive (it was still fairly cheap though!)
