How to reach the Hotel Princess?1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).
2) From Central Station: You can take tram number 1 (direction Osdorp de Aker) and get off at 'Eerste Constantijn Huygensstraat'. The hotel is very close to the tram stop. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

It was better than i expected. the room and the sheets were clean but small,the breakfast was good. it's a good place to stay if you're on a budget. the staff was very nice and helpful. i would definitely stay there again.The entrance of the hotel wasnt so easy to access especially if you have a stroller for your child or for anybody handicapped,it has narrow and steep stairs.Anonymous

The place was cheap and did the trick for a stoner's visit to amsterdam.The road was a bit noisy outside and it was a fair walk to get to the centre but that was to be expected really.Anonymous

The hotel was in a good situation, a safe area with restaurants nearby and not too far from central area. the hotel was warm (when the weather outside was cold). i liked the fact that the price was reduced for the 2nd and was then again reduced for subsequent nights. the shared shower looked uninviting but actually was very pleasant and easy to use. we appreciated being able to get a hot drink from a machine (for 50c) when we arrived back late in the evening.The water in the room's washbasin was very slow at draining; i reported this and was later told that it had been fixed, but it was no better. similarly there was trouble with the cistern of one of the shared toilets continually filling through the night. the room's waste bin was emptied each day but apart from that nothing was done to the room - the bed not made, no cleaning at all. (but is that what you should expect from a 1 star hotel?)Anonymous

The staff was very nice, and the breakfast was a lot more than i was expecting. the location was perfect, not too busy, but still within good walking distance. lots of nice restaurants and grocery stores in the area.We had to push two single beds together. if you need ac, i wouldn't recommend this place. definitely not handicap friendly, but most of amsterdam isn't.Anonymous

Able to use shower without waiting.Staff took too long to register me, at least 25 minutes, and catered for other guests requirements, whilst i was first. i did not appreciate being kept waiting for so long.
