 "Excellent hotel for a short break"
I brought my son to Amsterdam to visit the Arena for the Europa Cup final. This hotel proved ideal for a short break. Conveniently situated on the outskirts, near to the airport, and excellent transport links by bus and train to the city centre. Hoofdorp itself is a pleasant suburb, very green with lots of trees, grass verges, flowers, shrubs and well kept waterways.Staff at the hotel very friendly and helpful. Good sized room, very comfortable beds. Bar open until 1.30am midweek.Very good value for money

 "Lovely hotel in Amsterdam"
i really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Its a boutique style hotel, trendy decor and friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is in one of the nicest areas of amstedam and has some lovely places to eat within walking distance. tThe breakfast was lovely and I would stay in this hotel again as it is well situated and i found it easy to get around the city from here.. The one thing I would have liked to hava seen is a bnon-slip bath mat for inside the bath or shower. I have been disabled in the past and I fear falling. not everyone who likes a boutique style hotel is young!

 "Rather expensive"
For the size of the room and what I paid this is somewhat expensive hotel by Amsterdam standards. Then to find not a single amenity in the room apart from some rather out of date instant coffee confirmed this is not a cheap hotel. The bathroom in room 60 is very strange, apart from being tiny, the mirror comes complete with a small set of steps which you must use to either turn on the light above the sink or to use the mirror ! best of all is the shower get and shampoo dispenser is located half way up the wall in between the sink and the shower, which you have to open the sliding door to access. The rooms say no smoking but someone had for sure been smoking in this room.Staff were great and cannot be faulted and word of warning - 12 euro for the breakfast is a joke, its worth about 3 euro at the most

The room was very poor quality. the bed was like a camp bed. the room has an aromaand required the window to be open for fresh air.i understand this was the only room available, however it was at half price..the service at the hotel is first class, the staff were very polite and attentive,so i would stay againtThank you Holland,, YOU COULD TEACH OUR PEOPLE HOW TO PROVIDE A HOTEL SERVICE, and GOOD MANNERS which is so pleasing to see that in mainland Europemanners and common courtesy is very much alive..

Pros: Hoofddorp is a lovely place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of amsterdam,all the bars and restaurants close at 11.30 pm. great town for shoping.
Cons: We had to pay for wifi so not so good for business travellers.
