Very nice, clean tidy, good breakfast and fantastic location. We would definitely stay again. It has a nice location and is very handy to access all sights. Has a tourist information site and you can book trips from here also

Pros: I thought that hotel sint nicolass was great the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy and we got a good nights sleep there. breakfast was also really good! there were a range of guests from young to older from business to leisure travellers.

Pros: Prior to our visit, i had read a negative comment about the staff at the sint nicholaas. couldn't be farther from the truth as the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect experience. the location is incredible, a 5 minute walk from the central train station. the breakfast was wonderful with a full range of fruits, cheeses, meats, breads etc., etc! i wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in amsterdam if you are looking for a really cool boutique hotel.

Pros: All the staff very friendly,some of the bigger hotels are not as customer friendly as the st. nicolaas.

Cons: The sint nicolaas staff were very rude and not nice to us, at first they forced us to pay everything from advance although nothing like that was written any where, they gave us single beds although we were honeymooners, and to top it up they didnt tell us at the night in which they swiched the clock to summer time, which caused us to miss breakfast. when we wanted to check out and leave our lauggage in the storing room they told us there's no room in the storage room since we checked out too late! to which we recieved confirmation that it's ok to check out an hour later.
to make things short, if i could leave the hotel in the middle i would but it would have probably ruin my vacation, i would never go back there again...

Pros: Overall a good hotel, clean, comfy, nice tv and the bar is open all night :)
Cons: No smoking in rooms, but you can just pop outside. :)

Pros: Very central location, very clean and friendly staff. the breakfast was nice too. there is free internet with computers in the lobby, also free wireless in rooms. the hotel has a great lobby bar with a fireplace and big sofas open till late. flat screen tvs etc in rooms. extremely clean.
