Hotel Sint Nicolaas is a small, three star hotel with 27 lovely hotel rooms that can accommodate up to 54 guests. In 1984 the building was converted from a mattress factory into a comfortable hotel. Recently, the hotel was modernised to meet the latest international safety and fire prevention codes; as well as to ensure that our regular and new guests will consider this place as their home-away-from-home.
The hotel is situated in the very centre of Amsterdam, close to the Amsterdam Central Station, guests find themselves within walking distance from many famous Dutch attractions. The hotel is situated in the middle of the city centre and is surrounded by nice shops, restaurants and bars. Several trams stop in front of the hotel, making it able to easily reach every part of the city centre.
How to reach the Hotel Sint Nicolaas?2) From Amsterdam Central Station: You don't have to take the tram as you can walk to the hotel in approximately 5 minutes. If you prefer to take a tram you can take tram nr. 1, 2, 5, 13 or 17 and get off one stop after Amsterdam Central Station at 'Nieuwezijds Kolk'. Then walk one block back. (Coming from the city centre you can get off at stop 'Martelaarsgracht'). The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

Great location great continental breakfast great staff
Very noisy with tram traffic -- needed window open to keep the room cool -- so with tram - difficult to sleep until midnight. very stuffy/warm with no a/c. watson

It was close to everything,may be 10 mins walk to square,we were given breakfast with no charge,which was a bonuse,we enjoyed our stay there,I read the comments after i booked and some said it was dirtyand the staff wern't nice,so i was rather worried and was prepared to find another hotel,how ever these comments were given in2006-7,we had a lovely triple room,very modern and clean,the staff were lovely,we would certainly go back .Kershaw

Great location, staff very helpful and friendly, room very clean, breakfast was included even though it said it was excluded - bonus! Room a bit small though perfect for what we wanted it for (a night in amsterdam!) but if you wanted to spend longer than a couple nights you might want to reconsider David Miles

I've been to amsterdam a number of times over the years. i usually look for hotels of a similar price range and this i can honestly say this was the best hotel yet. the room is larger than you would expect from the standard tall, narrow format hotels you'd expect in amsterdam. it was very clean and stylishly simple. My pillow was lumpy but this was changed after the first night.Anonymous

Good location, nice lobby, good breakfast, bathroom nice but hotel room okay. i guess it could have been worse but rooms need to be updated.Pictures on your website are not the actual rooms at hotel sint nicolaas. i really hate when you book with a company that doesn't show you really what type of room you will be in. The location of this hotel was excellent, surrounded by shops and so close to the station! breakfast was very good and the interior very cozy. we enjoyed having drinks by the log fire before going out each night and the room was very comfortable and again, well decorated. i will definately be staying here again.Anand Gadhia

The hotel is a stones throw away from the train station which is great, so as soon as you get there, your not wondering around searching for somewhere in the little streets and canals of amsterdam central.A double bed would have been better than 2 single mattress's pushes together. but we managed!
