Being in the middle of the city centre, this hotel is the perfect starting point to explore the city centre and its tourist attractions on foot as well as by public transportation.
How to reach the Hotel The Globe?From Amsterdam Central Station: You don't need to take a tram to reach the hotel as the hotel is located within easy walking distance from the station. Walk out the front entrance of the station and head in the direction of 10 o’clock, towards the church tower and flags that are 150 meters away. Pass the NH Hotel Barbizon on the right side and walk down 'Nieuwe Brugsteeg' and take the second right down 'Sint Olofsteeg'. You will come out onto a canal (Oudezijds Voorburgwal) where you can see Hotel The Globe situated directly on the left side across the first bridge. (You'll see a big blue sign saying Sky Sports and The Globe)

Good location. 24hour bar which is good. Room was not cleaned in the three days. fairly expensive for such a basic room. staff were friendly except for the member of staff on the sunday night. unless with the lads do not go there. hart

Really well located in the middle of the red light district. nice to have a 24hour bar, with pool table.Poor hygiene in our triple room really. for the price it should have been better than that.Anonymous

Brilliant location, right on the red light district. if u want to go to amsterdam and get wasted all weekend, run in and out of windows and behave like an animal then this is the place to be. football was on all weekend aswell and soccer am. excellent hotel i loved it and i will be backNothingAnonymous

The staff were friendly and helpfull, the location is quite central; not too far from the damrak, or the red lightThe room was very basic and cramped, there was no place to hang or fold clothes; a wardrobe with no rail or shelf was provided but i don't know what for? the toilet and shower were fine but no towels, shampoo, or soap were provided. the room was very hot all the time with no means of changing the temperature resulting in three very uncomfortable, sleepless nights.Anonymous

Enough room for the 9 in our group, very well positioned at the top of the red light and within walking distance to dam square and other attractions.Not as clean as i would have liked and staff were not always very helpful. also, the food was expensive and not to a very high standard (eggshell found in an omlette)macaulay

the best thing about the hotel globe was the food & staff. the only negative thing about my stay was being informed by easytobook.com taht my total price would be 118 euro when in fact the actual price on arrival was 280 euro.Simpson

The room we had was spacious and it acted as a good base as we went around to explore the city. the room was fairly priced and was accessible 24 hours a day. the english breakfasts are definitely recommended! above all; the hotel is well priced and has a good location and if you are travelling in a group it is the place to be.There was no television in the room, coupled with the fact that you had to go outside in order to smoke. at night when walking back to the hotel there are quite a few shady customers trying to sell you drugs, they can be quite intimidating. the best advice is to simply ignore them.Anonymous

The hotel has a secure buzzer system for entering the rooms and the staff were friendly enpugh. the food down stairs was reasonable and the seating area outside was very nice.The rooms were very basic and the bathroom seemed dirty.Anonymous

Good location. quite at night but still close enought to the centre and station. the staff were friendly enough and handy being able to come and go 24/7Over priced. we paid 650 euros for ten people to stay for two nights. very small room for the price, no more than 4m x 5m. five bunk beds and two locker stacks, one of which prevented the door from opening fully and a small table with five shitty chairs. it was clean in the room but the toilet directly outside the room had no light and no window, so crapping in the dark was fun. the other bathroom, shared with the other ten person room and two others, was flooded from the shower drains being blocked. way over priced for the space and quality of the room. i have photos of the size of the room.Anonymous
