 "Pretty nice!"
Although this is a 1-star hotel, it looks very nice and warm! Staff has been very kind to us and breakfast was half sweet and half salted, perfect to get to dinner time without starving! The hotel is located near Anne Frank's House, which means a short way to downtown by walking.

 "Pleasant experience"
We were in Amsterdam for a short visit and stayed at Hotel Van Onna during our time there. The staff were always helpful in providing directions and giving us advice. The room was small but cosy and we had a lovely view.. I would definitely recommend this place for people looking to stay somewhere central.

 "First Stay In Amsterdam"
We booked this hotel so we could stay close to the city centre while also saving a bit of money, we were just only a matter of yards from the Anne Frank house which was great and everything was within walking distance, very friendly and helpful staff , the rooms are very basic so be prepared but they are cosy and pleasant and if you need anything the staff would generally help, recommend it to anyone who basic doesn't bother them and wants to be in and around this beautiful city, also be prepared for the clock bells, they ring every 15 minutes you get used to them !

 "Very good service!"
Friendly, helpful, efficient and professional staff. Rooms were small but clean with walk in wet room ensuite and basic amenities and comfy beds. Location was the only thing I would say is it could do with bring more central but that's fine if you don't mind a 20/25 min walk. OVERALL VERY PLEASANT STAY WOUKD RECOMMEND.

The hotel is situated at a very nice location in the centre of Amsterdam.

 "Very good Hotel!"
Very good Hotel. Clean and small rooms. Super Location (10 minutes away from the Dam Square by foot).
The Team is very friendly and generous.

Tip: ask for the hairdryer immediately when you arrive.

If I'm gonna to visit Amsterdam again I would probably stay in this Hotel again.

 "Reasonably prices"
Great location, just 5 minutes from the tram stop. Also, just 10 minutes from the 197 bus stop, which connects to the Schiphol Airport (a cheaper alternative to taking the NS train). So-so breakfast. I didn't care about a room with a view, so that I lucked out when I got a ground floor room close to the reception, which means I had WIFI from my room (which is only available in the reception area anyway). There are no elevators, as these are historical buildings, so that a room with a view means steep stairs and no WIFI. There's a free safe in the room, but no TV.

"A room very poor without tv and lift in the hotel"
A room very poor without tv. Breakfast only sandwith bread instead croissants or others and drinks very poor tea or hot chocolate.
Hotel without lift.
There is a church nearest to the hotel and every 15 min music or bells.....very noissy.

 "worth the price"
A good hotel for persons with low budget, the breakfast is good and the reception is warm. The location is quite strategic as its not too far from the popular dam square. I stayed on the third floor which gave me a good view of the immediate surroundings. The WiFi in the lobby is good but it wasn't available in the room i stayed.

 "Overpriced by Easytobook"
We were charged a much higher price than originally stated by Easytobook. This apparently is an Easytobook regular trick. The hotel was OK but it should protect its reputation and cancel their contract with Easytobook.

 "...so close"
....very nice place,a little room, but confortable. Kindness is the winner, and so close to the centrum ...Amsterdam,if she can't ,then no one else can . Everything is typical, the Jordan area is quite silent and some restaurants/bistrot close the canal are pretty. Dutch breakfast, unfortunately without fresh herring, look for .....

 "Good location and price"
This was our first time in Amsterdam.
The hotel location is very good, close to Ann Frank museum. The building we were located in was the old one so the stairs were probably close to the year of building the house, just like in an 1466 or close, very narrow and small, a bit unpleasant to go up and down.(I got used to it so this fact did not bother me for the next 6 days.)The hotel has another building with larger stairs.
The fact that it was a very old building added charm to it.
When I booked the hotel, I asked for a room with the view of the canal and on an upper level and this was what I got.
Good value for the money.(No WiFi other than in the reception room)

 "Authentic Amsterdam"
I stayed in the Annex, 2nd floor room. This Annex is a converted (?) 17c house facing a canal. Room was small and basic, comfortable and clean. Very tight staircase to rooms so you need to be fit and able if you stay in the Annex. Great location and value for money with first class staff.

Very good Hotel!

Situated in the fascinating Jordaan area, Hotel van Onna Amsterdam is close to all the city centre attractions whilst also enjoying the blissful tranquility of a canalside location. The nearest attractions are Anne Frank House, Westerkerk and Amsterdam Tulip Museum, all a 5-minute walk away. The Jordaan is a different world from the stampeding tourists and chain stores of Kalverstraat and is a well-preserved example of a traditional Dutch neighbourhood. Convenient tram transportation is available 5 minutes away and both the Dam Square and Royal Palace can be reached within 10 minutes by foot.

The hotel Van Onna is comprised of three beautiful canal houses, offering a glipse into Amsterdam's history. The more modern central structure holds the main entrance of the hotel and is flanked by a traditional canal house from the mid-17th century and a renovated old warehouse. The original beams are visible in the breakfast room.

Hotel van Onna Amsterdam has a total of 41 rooms, each with en-suite bathroom facilities. Decor is charmingly simple, warm and functional, avoiding ostentation in true Dutch style. The hotel is lovingly maintained with all rooms spotlessly clean and neatly arranged. Rooms at the front of the building enjoy a beautiful canal view, whilst those on the rear side enjoy extra tranquility away from the street. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel.
