Hotel van Onna, Amsterdam Hotel Details
Situated in the fascinating Jordaan area, Hotel van Onna Amsterdam is close to all the city centre attractions whilst also enjoying the blissful tranquility of a canalside location. The nearest attractions are Anne Frank House, Westerkerk and Amsterdam Tulip Museum, all a 5-minute walk away. The Jordaan is a different world from the stampeding tourists and chain stores of Kalverstraat and is a well-preserved example of a traditional Dutch neighbourhood. Convenient tram transportation is available 5 minutes away and both the Dam Square and Royal Palace can be reached within 10 minutes by foot.
Hotel Van Onna Amsterdam is comprised of three beautiful canal houses, offering a glipse into Amsterdam's history. The more modern central structure holds the main entrance of the hotel and is flanked by a traditional canal house from the mid-17th century and a renovated old warehouse. The original beams are visible in the breakfast room.
Hotel van Onna Amsterdam has a total of 41 rooms, each with en-suite bathroom facilities. Decor is charmingly simple, warm and functional, avoiding ostentation in true Dutch style. The hotel is lovingly maintained with all rooms spotlessly clean and neatly arranged. Rooms at the front of the building enjoy a beautiful canal view, whilst those on the rear side enjoy extra tranquility away from the street. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel.
