Description
Hotel Verdi is a cozy 2-star non-smoking family hotel situated in the elegant residential area of the museumquarter, just behind the world famous Concerthall. Only 2 blocks away you can find the Vondelpark, a great park for jogging, to enjoy a nice walk in the nature or have a nice evening out to see a classic movie in the Vondelpark Filmmuseum.
We are in close proximity to many main tourist attractions of the city center including the Heineken Brewery, the lively local market Albert Cuyp and the all important nightlife area Leidseplein. How to reach the Hotel Verdi?1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).
2) From Amsterdam Central Station: Trams are located in front of the station. To reach the hotel, you can take tram #5 - stop at Van Baerlestraat/Museumplein or tram #16- stop at Concertgebouwplein.

I didn't sleep well but know why. decor a little tired but staff very helpful and if you don't to be in the main hub of amsterdam but close enough to enjoy it then this is a very decent hotel.
The room i was in had a constant noise from the central heating system, but if you can cope with that and the tired decor you can do far worse than this as a budget hotel. just be mindful that the museumplein isn't on the main tram routes for many of the tourist night spots, however it is close to the leidseplein. Served a good breakfast.Steep, narrow steps to our room. we asked for a lower floor room, yet received the top floor. it was quite an ordeal to climb these steps. also, your confirmation provided us with a "total cost" for the 4 nights of 340 euros; however, the hotel added another 5% to the cost--we feel this is a misrepresentation on your part.Anonymous

Lovely family hotel, in great location: quiet and out of the centre but very accessible. basic, but for this price it was extremely good value. staff were very pleasant. great breakfast that didn't finish too early so you could stay in bed longer. beautiful friendly hotel cat. Very hot in the top of the hotel so could benefit from more windows. only one separate toilet. Anonymous

It was quiet and clean, and we were allowed to leave our bags there until our late flight staff seemed friendly.There was a kettle but no cups or tea bags, when i turned the side light on it fell off the wall, the bathroom window was replaced with a plastic calender, there wasn't enough tables at breakfast.Anonymous
