 "The best i had so far!"
When we arrived there was a problem with our room.They offered another room first in their other hotel around the corner.But i refused that offer and then they gave me and my mate a 3 person room with balcony for the same price!The location is excelent! 2min walk from Leidseplein.Very tidy and modern room with beautiful bathroom!A television along the footside of the bedI recommend this hotel weither if you are staying 2 or 15 nights!

 "Fantastic"
Me and my husband stayed in Amsterdam for a couple of days. It was our wedding anniversary and they upgraded us with a bottle of champagne on arrival. Everyone was really friendly and help us with all our questions. The hotel is located perfectly closely to restaurants, bars, shopping, canals and more but still off to a quiet street for tranquility. We will definitively stay there again and will recommend everyone to do as well.

 "City Stay for one night"
The location is in a nice area of the city, and close to the canal tour and restaurants if needed. We (my mum and I) were visiting for one night and had specified a twin room, but when we arrived a twin was not provided and the offer for an alternative, at first, was poor. We sat down until the matter was resolved and finally a room was provided after 20 mins, but i was made to feel like it was our fault. I liked the hotel style and cleanliness, but thought the staff were not particularly helpful and things didnt run smoothly.

Does not deserve 4 stars (? self-rated?) NOT handicapped- friendly, e.g steps across doorways; slippery stairs at entry but NO Handrails. Quirky interior design not succesful. One exception was restaurant: limited menu but good value.

I think hotel was expensive for the quality. There was a level of poor decoration with general need of tidiness. There seemed to be a lack of management. I know art is a personal thing but the art work was the worst I have ever seen. The bed making was poor. and the breakfast was to normal hotel standard but far to expensive.

the hotel is in a excelent location and a very beautiful hotel. Rooms are quite nice they only problem what we face is the ROOM. we made a reservation for junior suite from this website, the showed different photograph in actually when we went there they give us different room which is executive room not to bad but we paid a lot of money cos wot we see is the Junior suite actually. We have a strong argument with the manager but didnt resolve the matter and asking us to pay 60,00 euros per night more.and then he give us in 30 euros as a discount but he did charge us more money.first the hotel put different photographs on the internet sites i mean like junior suite and then when u made a reservation for that perticular room, when u go there is a different room.

Pros: Hotel vondel is one of my two favourite hotels. i highly recommend it to the point to mentioning it on facebook. its located on a leafy street which feel like your staying in the suburbs rather than city centre but at the same time you are just off the heart of the city. loved the look of the hotel which is super cool and keeping with a boutique hotel. excellent breakfast selection. polite helpful staff without being over friendly and enought on duty to tend to your needs personally.
Cons: The double room was too small for two people to stay in, luckily i was staying on my own.
