Direction Amsterdam. At the end of the highroad A4 you have to follow Ring Amsterdam A10. Exit number S116 Amsterdam-Noord /Amsterdam-Centre. Follow the road Leeuwarderweg. Go through the Y-tunnel. If you come out of the tunnel follow the right curve onto the Prins Hendrikkade Go straight on the Prins Hendrikkade after 300 meters you see our hotel at the left hand. Make a U-turn at the stoplights and drive back and park your car in front of the hotel.
Coming from Utrecht: A2;

How to reach the Hotel Y Boulevard?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You dont have take the tram, you can walk to the hotel +/- 5 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

It's very well located, not far from central station
We stayed on the 4th floor; there was no elevator and some staircases were very steep, narrow and quite dangerous.i don't think we would have been able to reach our room if we weren't as fit as we are
it also was very complicated to find your room and i think it would be very difficult to find your way out when there is a fire
there also was much noise at night
the bathroom was very tiny and as the toilet was located under the roof, my husband could not stand uprightAnonymous

The location is brilliant only 5 min from central station The hotel is awfull really needs renovating. i think we had the best rooms of the hotel and they were not great the shower didnt work in one the other we asked for a double and got four singles which we dont mind two beds pushed together we come to expect that. the reception area is nice but the receptinist was very confusing. the whole place sinks of smoke and weed we dont smoke it so it was very uncomfortable having to smell it all night. we didnt really need a 5 star hotel just a base for us while we explored amsterdam so it didnt bother us to much but dont go expecting a quality hotel its more like someones attic.
on the other hand amsterdam is brilliant and would reccomend it just watch out for the bikes and pay a little extra for your hotel. Walton

When we arrived we had no baby cot - as we had requested. the room we had been allocated was too small to accommodate a cot - also the cot was unable to be put up by staff? the next room we had was large enough but we had to wait for the manager to come and put up the travel cot. i think the drains were in need of attention the smell worsened through the night (once i had switched off the bathroom light - and therefore the extractor fan!!)
not particularly an enjoyable experience - especially for the price! just take care on the stairs - the carpet is coming off - i realise that haelth & safety can sometimes be accused of overkill but i gather no such thing happens in the netherlandsAnonymous

A dreadful hotel - please ensure no one ever books into this hotel - it was well over priced and filthy. the room was aweful ( filthy carpets , mould on walls , no bin , taps didnt work properly , lights failed to work etc etc ) and had to complain about noiisy guests in the next room. the breakfast was, well poor and thats being generous. it was so bad i came back a day earlier - and they never bother to negotiate a refund. its the worst hotel i have ever stayed in anywhere. i wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone - it needs closing down - now!Cronin

One staff helpfulDoor hanging off bathroom man came and fixed it with a cable tie i think this must have been same door as mentioned in reviews in june we had booked a tripple room but ended up in a room to sleep 8 , we got what we paid for and were not surprised would i stay there again unlikelyAnonymous

the location is fantastic. 5 mins from central station, right in the centre of the town.we were all very surprised by the choice of food for breakfest. it was really good for a 2*hotel. Some of the staff was not very friendly, maybe just a bad mood that day. the door on our room felt like it was going to fall apart.Shemmell
