Ibis Amsterdam Centre is situated by the main train station. Trains, metros, buses, trams and taxis all drop you right to the door. Schiphol airport is just 15 minutes away by train, the RAI center just 20 mins by tram and the ARENA 15 mins by metro. Other destinations such as the PTA cruise terminal, Beurs van Berlage, the Dam Square and the Grachtengordel are within walking distance. Our hotel has 363 rooms, including 3 for disabled guests. Breakfast is served daily from 4am to at least midday
How to reach the Ibis Amsterdam Centre?2) By public transport, from Amsterdam Central Station: You don't have to take the tram, you can walk to the hotel in approximately 1 minute.
3) By car, from Schiphol and Den Haag: Follow "Ring A10 West" and take exit "s102 Westpoort/Ymuiden/Sloterdyk". Then follow "s102 Centrum" and the Ibis road signs until you've reached the hotel.
4) By car, from Utrecht and Amersfoort: Follow "Ring A10 Noord" and take exit "s116 Noord/Centrum/Volendam". Then follow "s116 Noord/Centrum" and take exit "Havens" and turn right to reach the hotel.

The price for such a small room right above a the main railway station not such a good deal, maybe should have been informed of this on website.McGreavy

We really enjoyed our short stay at the ibis. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. our room, whilst a little small, was very clean and had everything we needed. the location is first class, if you want to be in the centre of things - which we did!Only negative was that there was no restaurant in the hotel. though basic snacks were served during the day and evening.Anonymous

Restaurant - food, although not much to choose from, was excellent quality. Ake up call at 3.20am one morning which was not requested. the price charged for a bottle of water was over-the-top (6 euros). also it would have been good to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. the doors do not have 'peepholes' nor do they have a safety chain - which we really would expect.Anonymous

The hotel was in an excellent location; it was far enough from the red light district to feel safe at night but close enough to walk to get to all the excitement of the city. the staff were pleasant and helpful and the room was very clean. the price of the hotel was worth having a clean, safe, and secure place to stay. Excellent location.The room and especially the wc is very small. the breakfast was not so good and rich as in other ibis hotels in other countries like in dusseldorf. there is no free internet access in the reception as it is he case in other ibis hotels.
