 "Excellent location not clean"
Excellent location not clean, Not clean enough, I was a week in this hotel the towels was changed only time in this week.I decided to take this bed and breakfast hotel :The breakfast was insulting:If you call you self breakfast you dont send you guests to "HEMA" To by breakfast. "BREAKFAST" : Sandwich, Korsun and Coffee on the street for 1 1/2 Euro.Huge difference between the pictures posted on the site and the room himself. If I wanted a youth hostel the was peace would cost me half from this hotel.

 "Hotel Imperial"
Hotel is in an ideal location. Whichever way you go you will get there very quick either walking or catching a 1 of the 5-6 trams running very close to the hotel.Loads of restaurants pubs nearbyCentral station is about 20 minutes walk away or 5-6 min by tramThe hotel is clean and tidy yet shows signs of ageing and could do with a minor facelift. We had a room facing the back of the building so if was very quiet, cannot comment on front facing roomsAsk about your complimentary breakfastBed was comfy and good sizeBathroom tiny but functionalWater pressure in the built-in standing jacuzzi was non existent so could not try itWifi signal is relatively weak on the second floor but accessible - ask for the password. would i recommend it? Yes!would i stay again? Yes.Unless i found a better and cheaper place to stay in an ideal location

 "avoid room no. 23"
..got a room with view to the neighboorhouse rooftiles, half a meter from the room.So if you stay here avoid room no 23. The other room I saw looked very nice.Allthough, the hotel is located very close to bars and restaurant it's relative quiet. It was very hot while stayin there, and the room is only provided with a fan.Had a splendid stay anyway.

 "Excellent location"
Pros: Excellent location. nice person on the check-in. very clean.
Cons: The hotel can only be entered by using a swipe card, ie there is no person on the desk after 8pm. this fact should be communicated with potential guests - nothing on the hotel website indicated that their was no lobby staff or way of getting into the hotel without a swipe card. this is acceptable for a really cheap hotel but not at these prices. also, there was no way to buy breakfast at this hotel even though their website said there was breakfast available for 7.5 euros. this was very misleading

"Stayed in room 24 lovely good size room, at the front of the hotel, very..."
Pros: Stayed in room 24 lovely good size room, at the front of the hotel, very clean with comfy bed. shower room good size also. choose this hotel because of its location in amsterdam also close to a tram line, although we did make the walk from central station [just over a mile] with no problem.
Cons: For the monies paid for this hotel it was a little disappointing. it is not in the quietest of areas, noisy bars & restaurants either side & opposite of the hotel. it was very noisy at night time & didn’t get much sleep stairs very steep. ask for a room at the back of the hotel. for the price tea /coffee making facility should be included.

"- everything was super clean (bathroom with jacuzzi shower as described,..."
Pros: - everything was super clean (bathroom with jacuzzi shower as described, clean linens etc), one amazing comfortable bed , quiet room(we had a view to the back garden).definetely would stay here again. it was worth reading and trusting the previous reviews.
Cons: Not a "negative" point but i just want to mention that breakfast is not so varied and "buffet" is not the word to describe it ...but still it was nice to wake up with a nice cup of tea/coffee and some classical music

"Right in the centre of amsterdam"
Pros: Right in the centre of amsterdam. btw the stairs are not so steep as other comments state. theyre actually better and wider stairs than you find in most of old amsterdam buildings. staff was friendly but insecure, maybe because they only spoke english.
Cons: The pictures of the rooms they show here on the site are not representative of the actual rooms - its not the value for money as you would expect from the pictures. nonetheless, the rooms were adequate but i wouldnt have payed 90 euros for it if i had seen the rooms beforehand. oh and forget about the jacuzzi shower - none of the people that stayed there had it, so probably only 1 of the rooms had it. :/ i hate it when hotels lie about stuff like that.

"I would definately recommend this hotel to friends"
Pros: I would definately recommend this hotel to friends.the room was lovely, clean and the jacquzzi shower was fun. this hotel is way above a two star rating and worth the money. the location is great for nightlife and close to all other tourist attractions. we got a tram when we arrived as we didn't know how far it was from the station but when we left we walked as it was only about 20 mins walk. no matter where we went we couldn't wait to get back to rembrantplein!
Cons: Nothing at all.
