Reviews on Itc Hotel Amsterdam
In cooperation with
Cons: Loud, my room was just next to a busy street, breakfast was seved only from 9, so not good for business travellers
Cons: 2nd stay at the itc. you take pot luck with the rooms as some are far larger than others. there are 3 parts to the itc - the main hotel, their annexe and another building on the other side of the canal. if you require breakfast this can be annoying having to cross the road to the main hotel every morning. my main gripe is the cost - my room didn't even have a window, no kettle and very basic amenities - i would expect more for €110 per night.
Cons: After moving rooms 3 times we finally found one that was adequate. still nowhere near value for money though.
very friendly and helpful staff.
it was allowed to smoke in the room, which was alright, since we lived on the 2nd floor.
many coffeeshops and bars nearby, although not the center.
Cons: Alot of noice and banging on the wall.
old bathroom and shower.
Cons: Just about ok for cheap / budget hotel but nothing special
Cons: Not really, though the en-suite shower/toilet facility was a bit cramped (room 1).
Cons: The room i stayed in had only two very tiny windows looking out on a place filled with dirt (such as beer cans).
the bathroom did not function optimally since it was impossible not to get everything wet.
Cons: Non-smoking was not really the case.
Cons: The shower was dirty, the bed linen was stained and the general impression of te hotel was that it was dirty.
i do feel there were a few issues with regards to health and saftey with the stair cases also as they were steep and often in a peculiar location without adequate hand rails.
Cons: Room / hotel bore little resemblence to pictures e.g. no bar area, rooms in desperate need of updating, broken furniture. strong smell of cigarette smoke. access would be impossible for anyone with mobility issues.beware asked to pay in full on checking in and you may not have a room in the actual hotel, the annexe is a seperate building across a road with no reception.
Cons: Was not stated on the room selection we made that we would be in bunk beds. this was very annoying and stupd way for two "adults" to be sharing. the room space was also a joke and could not even move with two people together getting dressed. the experience of this room was that of a prison cell. the window had a huge gap when closed. this was very cold especially as its the coldest time of year. the lock on door did not work when arrived. the main reason we booked these rooms was because stated on the description was that every room had a lockable safe. in our case there was none and we wanted this mainly due to the fact we had expensive laptops etc which needed locking up. we complained and the staff said this was the only room without a safe and there was no other rooms available.
overall we were no expecting much due to low costs but this was appauling conditions we stayed in. no happy!!!!!!!!!
