How you can get to NH Carlton
1) From
Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes a train runs from the airport to Amsterdam Central
Station. When you arrive at the airport, go to the central hall; here is a big sign with
the train information. The trains to the central station run from 05:40 AM to
00:30 AM (Go to step 2).
2) From Amsterdam Central Station: You can take tram line 4, 9, 16, 24
or 25 from the square in front of the station and get off at tram stop
'Muntplein'. From there you can walk to the hotel in approximately 3 minutes.

run from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.
From Schiphol airport by car: Follow motorway A4 direction Amsterdam. This road joins up automatically with the Amsterdam ring road A10 Follow, exit S110 Amsterdam-centrum. At the first set of traffic lights drive straight on until the crossing of the Stadhouderskade where you turn left. At the traffic lights you take a right turn. At the roundabout you continue straight on. At the end of the street the hotel is situated on your left hand side.

Cons: Staff didnt get my request for a smoking room but were able to change it but room was much smaller than the smoking room i had stayed in two years previous
Cons: Our room was too hot and could not turn down the temperature, we had to have fans in the room.

Cons: Reception was unable to exchange a 500 eur bill and an unpleasant extra was the amsterdam city tax of 5% that is added on top of the grand total. did not know that amsterdam was so poor that they have to milk tourists with such a tax after they have paid for already somewhat overpriced accomodation.
Cons: More tea options, not everyone drinks coffee each day! stayed at the nh city centre last time and the rooms were bigger there, so that was a slight disappointment.
