How to reach the NH Carlton?1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (Go to step 2).
2) From Amsterdam Central Station: You can take tram line 4, 9, 16, 24 or 25 from the square in front of the station and get off at tram stop 'Muntplein'. From there you can walk to the hotel in approximately 3 minutes. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.
How to reach the hotel by car from Schiphol airport: Follow motorway A4 direction Amsterdam. This road joins up automatically with the Amsterdam ring road A10 Follow exit S110 Amsterdam-centrum. At the first set of traffic lights drive straight on until the crossing of the Stadhouderskade where you turn left. At the traffic lights you take a right turn. At the roundabout you continue straight on. At the end of the street the hotel is situated on your left hand side.

The hotel is very clean and the reception staff were very welcoming.
On arrival we were given a room with a view: of a wall; but we were not much bothered by it. what caused us to request a change of room the following day was that the shower had no power and the little water that came from it kept changing from warm to cold; in addition, the hairdryer was faulty. i'm glad to say that we were immediately given another room (this time with a nice view). finally, we requested an early wake-up call to catch the airport shuttle but we were not called; fortunately, we woke up on time. Very friendly staff, hotel in good location and clean.I was not happy that the price i booked the hotel at was not the price i was charged on my visa. the on-screen price was £1100 and i was charged £1247 when my visa bill arrived. i can appreciate the city tax as extra even though it's not clearly displayed but the exchange rate quoted at the time of booking should have been honored and it wasn't. this is misleading and i won't book through your website in future for this reason. It was nice that the receptionist could only find a double room in a superior suite and gave it to us as a free upgrade!Only what it looks like from the outside, and i think maybe if we had a room on the main road outside it might not have been such a pleasant staystone

The bathroom was nice. the foyer is flash which gives the impression the rooms will be much nicer than they are, the rooms were of a poorer quality than expected. also we booked a double room with a double bed and they pushed together two single beds! not quite up to standard.
