How to reach the Jupiter Hotel? How to reach the Jupiter Hotel?
1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).

2) From Amsterdam Central Station: Take tram 1, and get off at stop "Leidseplein". Looking at the path of the tram driving further, you will see a bridge. Cross that, and turn right into the street called "Nassaukade". Follow this road keeping the canal at your right-hand side. (You will pass a sporting-goods store.) Turn left at the second corner, into the "Tweede Helmersstraat" where the hotel is situated at your right-hand side.

Rooms were cleaned daily, cleaning staff very friendly and aimiable. beds very comfotable and bathroom very spacious
The man on the reception gave no details e.g when breakfast was, checking out procedure etc. all basic information had to be asked. we booked a double room but got a twin instead and reception couldn't alter anything

The four-bed room is really just a normal double room with two single beds squeezed in (folded up into where the wardrobe should be). so make sure your family is able to harmoniously cohabit in a fairly cramped space for the length of your stay before you decide to book. on the other hand, if ann frank's family could do it for two years - it shouldn't be beyond you.

I felt i got what i paid for. i don't know what the other rooms are like and i only stayed there one night. that being said they have cheap single beds $61 usd. it was small but much i had a much better sleep than any hostel which would have been like 35-45 usd
Not a big fan of shared showers but what can you do?

Close to leidseplein and so to lots of trams. generally quiet.
The staff - the owner/receptionist was a misery, who seems to see welcoming customers as a chore

The position of the hotel and cleanliness of the room was excellent, and we really enjoyed our weekend in amsterdam.
We found the price of our room very expensive, and would have prefered a bathroom in it.the staff were a little cold and not very approachable in general.
