The location is very convenient for tourists. brekfast was ample and the staff helpful.
I think that 6% extra charge for payment by credit card is rather much.

The hotel was generally clean and typical of the many amsterdam small hotels. a good price and location.
Unfortunately i and one of my colleagues (rooms 24 and 22) suffered from quite nasty bites though our third colleague in room 12 did not. on pulling back the bottom sheet i was very disappointed to find 'eggs' and what looked like dead or 'shed' skins of bedbugs?? there was also a lot of human hair on top of the stained mattress showing that the general hygiene was well below what i would have hoped for/expected. although i only had a few (though very unpleasant) bites, my colleague in room 24 suffered terribly from them

Great location all major attractions within walking distance
Room was very small and poorly furnished. the extra e15 charge for tea and coffee in the roon was petty should have been supplied for free. also the e3 per item luggage storage charge was excessive and unnecessary

Decent location
Mice! and when we discovered that there were mice, the hotel owner was very unsympathetic, refusing to refund us any money for our stay. also, the hotel staff didnt seem to know what to do when challenged with these complaints. very poor customer service, indeed.

Apart from having mice in my roomand rentokill mouse trap under my bed ,there was a gap in the bottom of the door to the room where the mice were running in and out. i went to reception to report the problem and get my room changed at 22:25 to find out that there wasn't any staff on duty as they had gone home for the night,in the morning i spoke to the reception and told them about the mice and that i had been awake all night and was told i would have to speak to the managerwho was not due in untill 10:30 by which time i would have to be in arnhem. this was the worst hotel experince i have had. i just wonder what would have happened if there was a fire with no staff on duty, i dont think i will be using this web site again if this is the standard of hotels you use.

The directions given for getting to the hotel were very poor. we got off the tram and wandered around with suitcase for over half an hour, when in daylight we fund we were just 2 minutes walk from the tram stop. much better and simpler instructions needed using the very obvious landmarks such as the fountains and then turn right at the american hotel.

Nice spacious room, but did need a little lick of paint in areas. but we only spent one night there...and not too much time in room anyway so was fine for purpose.
I understand the 5% tourist/gov tax. which is added to the room rate when paying for your room on arrival. but on top of that, when paying for your room by card (even a debit card and not credit)you are slammed with another 6% so your room is now 11% more than the advertised price which turned out to be not so much of a bargain for the location we were in. as we visit amsterdam frequently. we have stayed in better located hotels at cheaper prices. but these can be found and booked through this the easytobook site.

The staff was realy kind and helped very much. the location was graet - 3 minutes from the trem, only 15 minutes walking from the dam and 5 minutes from the shopping & food area.
The room was not big but it was fine, the shower room was small. beside that everything was good

Location right round the corner from leidsplein one of the lively squares of amsterdam. also within walkin distance to all the big attractions and central station.
Stairway had very strong smell to it like wet dog, stairs very basically vertical there was a lift but to me it just didnt feel safe, room was ridiculously small not as in the picture wotsoever, bathroom was again tiny trying to shave your legs in the shower was virtually impossible an it smelt of sewage constantly plus having no window made it even better.basically if ur spending that amount of money on a hotel you would expect a lot better for £100 a night.
