Westerpark Amsterdam

If there is anything that Amsterdam is well known for it would have to its nightlife, the lovely architecture of its buildings, its restaurants and of course the city parks. West Park could refer to Westerpark which is a lovely park located west of Central Station, and like all Amsterdam parks is open to the public providing wonderful spaces to relax, enjoy a great day or just watch people as they go by. But there is another Westerpark located at Watertorenplein 6 that is a bird of a slightly different color, or perhaps we should say tasteé This Westerpark is one of the city's hippest eateries featuring classic French cuisine in a wonderful example of industrial-style architecture. Housed in fact in a former water-processing plant this Westerpark features an industrial-style space that makes this unique eatery unique. Of course the views are not what you come for, since they can wow you with classic French brassiere food such as steak béarnaise, coq au vin and crepes. But it is worth looking up while eating, since the one-hundred foot high wooden ceilings are adorned with hanging metal hooks and chains as well as the 22 huge floodlights rescued from the former Ajax and Olympic stadiums. So whether you are into dining or relaxing there is a West Park close by with your name on its reservation list.
