"Great location"

Great from outside and hollow in the middle. Rooms small but enough for city break, maybe not a 3 star but breakfast ok even though we had to pay extra. Didn't think I got money's worth it! Great location neat the square and shops etc. great places to eat around the area as well. Lots to do around the area and hotel was ok.

"Hotel Mozart Does the Job"

The main positive is that the Hotel is on Prinsengracht close to main sights in Amsterdam far enough away from seedier area of Dam Square & Cental station but close enough to Vondel Park for some fresh air. It is beside Leidseplein area which has a bit of action and cheap restaurants but that did'nt impinge on the hotel which was quiet. Our room which was small (for three) overlooked the canal but was clean & comfortable . Even though it rained a lot we were not in the room a lot so it was OK. 'Art' on the wall was appalling. The Hotel was functional; not cheap but was OK by A'dam standards. Staff were efficient but not particularly friendly. Overall it was between average and very good - Hotel Mozart was good; it did the job - We enjoyed our stay in and would recommend as a good base to visit Amsterdam.

"Filthy hotel!"

We came here for my boyfriends birthday. When we got there we had to wait hours to check in as we got there early which i understand, we did ask for early check in but the room wasnt ready. We were allowed to leave our suitcasae there whilst we went out. When we came back at the check in time of 2 pm we were waiting 20 minutes more for the receptionist to check us in, she was uselss and very rude. We finally managed to get into the room and were expecting a clean nice room, instead we got a damp floor, filthy walls and who knows what else. The good thing was the beds as they were comfortable, and were changed once whilst we were there for 3days. We booked the hotel for £120 which somehow converted into 144 euro which then turned into 154 euro at the hotel, which wasnt worth it at all. The bald guy on the recpetion seemed friendly and let us have complimentry juice and coffee the morning we left even though we offered to pay. They didnt have any tea facilities in the room which was rubbish. the location was great as just behind the hotel, there is about 30 restaurants, pubs everywhere, bulldog cafe is around the corner and mcdonalds is there too. I wouldnt recommend this hotel at all and wouldnt stay there again.

"Useful."

It is what it is. Amsterdam is expensive. This is where you stay when you need to sleep for a day or two and that's about it. Nothing else needed? It's perfect then.

"visited first weekend of march 2012"

The hotel is very basic, but it's clean and the beds are fine. Location is fine, Leidseplein is just around the corner and the center is a ten minute walk. Breakfast is also basic, but you won't leave hungry. I found it a bit disappointing to have breakfast in the hotel lobby....furniture looks like a cheap soupkitchen and the tv is blaring. Basic is again the word, not much atmosphere or luxury, but a good value for money locationwise.

We had a triple roomThe cleaning wasn't done at all (dirty moquette)The floor was discusting, so were the walls !The bathroom: the shower hose was broke ! No bowl cover (perfect for odors, thanks) ! The towels were not cleanThe closed wasn't clean : we found an empty can of coca colaHorrible nigh : the rooms are absolutely not soundproof !! We can here anything from the left, the right and the room above our !Seriously ? 120€ ?? I feel bad, because I had a much better stay in the Hans Brinker Hotel, which is however a youth hostel with very low cost !!!

The hotel was in a great location on the Prinsengracht canal and right beside a tram stop - close to many shops, places to eat and the Leidseplein. Everything we wanted to see was in short walking distance. Checking in was simple (even though I had forgotten our booking reference), but the room was a bit of a disappointment. We didn't expect luxury and didn't mind the small size; but the window looked onto another room and down into the hotel lobby and the pipes must have ran above our room because everytime someone flushed a toilet we could hear the water, sounding like it was raining heavily outside - annoying when trying to sleep. The bed was comfortable and the ensuite was sufficient. I would book the hotel again, but I would book a canal-facing room.

"Excellent stay in Amsterdam"

Had a great time in Amsterdam. The Mozart Hotel was in a great location, close enough to the action but far enough away to be peaceful. The hotel was clean, breakfast was good, beds were exceptionally comfy. Right near the tram stop, close to the restaurants and bars and an all round great base to explore all of Amsterdam, which we did on foot from the hotel. Next time we visit Amsterdam we would not hesitate to book the Mozart Hotel again.

Pros: My hotel room in particular was in a good location within the hotel, and the cleanliness of the room was brilliant.
Cons: The one thing the hotel was lacking was that you could not enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in you're room.

Cons: The double room was the smallest i ever seen, that also goes for the bathroom. the room was cold with a tiny window, the hotel experience really spoiled our visit to amsterdam.

Excellent stay in Amsterdam
