The Amsterdam Centre for Architecture, ARCAM, was established in 1986 and can nowadays be found in a futuristic design building, close to the IJ. ARCAM’s main focus is architecture and urban development, in Amsterdam and surroundings but it also functions as a coordination centre, trying to reach the largest possible public.
ARCAM is located close to Amsterdam Centraal Station, at Prins Hendrikkade. The building was designed by Dutch architect René van Zuuk. The structure is clad with coated aluminum, the entry side has a unique sculpted shape and the back side, facing the water, is completely made out of glass.
ARCAM is at walking distance from NEMO and the Scheepvaarmuseum. Chinatown, the Red Light District and Amsterdam city centre are around the corner. Visit Easytobook.com to find your perfect Amsterdam hotel.
