This hotel is situated in the city centre of Amsterdam, less than a 5-minute walk from Museumplein and Leidseplein.

Hotel Museumzicht Amsterdam is situated next to one of the city’s most important museums, the Rijksmuseum, with the famous Van Gogh Museum less than a 5-minute walk away. Several tram and bus stops can be found nearby and offer direct connections to Amsterdam Central Station, the World Trade Centre and Schiphol Airport.

The hotel can be found on the upper floors of a 19th century mansion in Art Nouveau style. The breakfast room offers both a unique view of the Rijksmuseum and a small library with a view of Museumplein. In this library you can find the only TV in Hotel Museumzicht Amsterdam and a book exchange. A laptop is available for use.

Typical steep stairs can take you to the rooms of Hotel Museumzicht. They are furnished and still feature the original tiles, as well as modern box-spring beds. Most of the rooms have a shared bathroom in the hallway on the same floor.

The Museumplein with the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum and Stedelijk Museum is just down the street. The Vondelpark and the Leidseplein entertainment areas can also be reached with just a short walk. The tram and bus stops nearby allow you to easily reach the rest of the city.

"Excellent location with all the essentials"
Stayed here for three nights as a solo traveler. Overall - has everything you need, in a central location, and for a very reasonable price.
My room reminded me of being in a college dorm - small and cozy with a sink and tiny window. There were several narrow stairs up to the top floor where I stayed. Shower room (shared) was small, but had no problems with water pressure or temperature. Toilet (shared) was small and clean. There was some noise from the trams at Museumplein, but not a problem for a heavy sleeper like myself. Breakfast was nice - egg, ham cheese, coffee, and juice. Wifi connection was ok, but was spotty at times.

 "Perfection"
The decor of each room was beautiful, breakfast was perfect. There were a lot of stairs to climb so we came away with toned legs! Beds were really comfy and there was no noise pollution. Would have struggled to wake up if it weren't for the breakfast: Toast, ham, egg, cheese, juice, coffee (with cream). No faults whatsoever. Great price, too. By far the cheapest I could find.

 "Nice and clean hotel"
I really liked the hotel and above all the position, very easy to find when you arrive by bus from the airport. to the old centre you need 15 min. walk, but you are very near to pubs, restaurants and shops. The rooms are very little but clean, the common bathroom clean as well. The breakfast is fresh and rich.Nice stay!

 "Stairs!"
I enjoyed my brief stay and the central location was good - but the stairs (even when forewarned) are quite something! The top floor toilet and shower are also way too small for comfort. I specifically chose this hotel because it advertised the rooms as having a view, but mine had a skylight only - rather a disappointment.

 "Marathon stay"
Not a bad hotel. Great base to explore the cityBeen in worse. Room very small. Shower fantastic. Quirky little notes around the place made it not boring. Guy in the hotel very very helpful. Bring earplugs for sleep as on a main road. Bed too soft - personal preference. Steep stairs not for the vertigo sufferers out there. I quite liked them. I would stay there again. Breakfast punctual. Coffee great! Ham an cheese not from local farm- from local shop!!4 out of 5
