Nemo B&B is situated in the heart of Amsterdam. All the famous attractions are very closeby: 18 minutes walking distance from Central Station, Dam Square and the Red Lights District.
Also all the public transport is in 5 minutes walking distance away from the property to the metro or tram lines 9 & 12, bus 22.
How to reach the Nemo Bed & Breakfast?1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).
2) From Amsterdam Central Station: The Nemo B&B is at walking distance of Amsterdam Central Station. From the Amsterdam Central Train Station walk to the left and cross the Station square. As you walk out the front of the central station in Amsterdam, you should see on your left the Sent-Nicolas Cathedral - walk there, it is about 150 meters away. As you are there, follow the same street side along Prins Hendrikkade (make sure your are following this street) to the end of the street, and make turn at the stop light to the right, that will be the Schippersgracht, walk alway down to the Rapenburg Plien ( nice area with restaurants and bars ), from there starts the Nieuwe Herengracht ( end of it ), just walk 3 min to the number 181.

Lovely spacious comfy rooms - good to return to after a chill out day in amsterdam. landlady very helpful + friendly. can help yourself to selection of stuff left by previous occupants at no charge - nice this when it includes beer! very smoker friendly accommodation - can smoke what you want when you want in your room... ;o)
Make sure you can negotiate steep stairs!! also, make sure you have the phone number of the landlady on arrival as there is no way she will hear you through that 3 ton door!Acteson

Very grand entrance to the nemo building, and the appartment was big and very clean. the owner katja was very helpful and made us feel very comftable. i would definatly stay here again as i think it was was best stay in amsterdam so far.N/aAnonymous

Clean and cosy apartment, friendly staff, absolutely perfect for a short break with friends. great location, in a quiet and safe area of amsterdam. it was convenient and reassuring to have a mobile number for the landlady incase we had any problems during our stay. we were also offered a discount card at the end of our stay for our next visit...we'd love to return soon!On the first morning of our stay there was only enough hot water for 2 showers. but our landlady soon addressed the problem and the rest of our stay was very pleasant. we couldn't have asked for more - fantastic value for money.Rawlinson

The room just had everything we needed and was very comfortable. the lady was very helpfull and everything was really good.The only this is that you should be out at 11 o'clock, a bit early, but i guess it's like that everywhere. and do mind the stairs. Johnson

Could not have been made to feel more welcome and comfortable. the apartments themselves were outstanding and well surpassed our expectations. the manageress, katja, is a true gem and went out of her way to accommodate us throughout our stay. would not hesitate to book these apartments again or recommend them to anyone.Not so much a negative, but the stairs up to the apartments could be troublesome to some people.Zins

We found the lady who ran the apartment very friendly.
the place was nice and well looked after. upon arrival we discovered tea bags, coffee, milk and beer. a definate plus as the previous places i'd stayed could only be described as 'squats'.

It was a great location to be in especially as it was not far from the airport and our flights were delayed so by the time we landed we were shattered! katherine was brilliant and made us feel very welcome. rooms were great and everything we needed. would recommend to a friendThe room discriptions on the website were incorrect and made us believe there were more rooms than available. maybe this needs updating also pictures may need updating. this did not matter and we made the best use of what bedrooms and beds we hadKaren Kilminster

Not far from the train station which was brilliant! nearby most things. would recommend the coffee/bar just down the road, the chineese across the water and the bulldog. ann frranks museum was ace to! dont eat pizza from the nearby place not that great a bit dirty. if arriving late to hotel walk to the red light district for food alot nicer. great location and great rooms. katherin was very helpful and very friendly!The discripton on the website needs updating as it told us there were more bedrooms than there actually was. mainly sofa beds and put up beds. we managed to make good use of what we had and it was stil very comfortable for all of us!Anonymous

The actual apartment did not match the pictures on the webiste 100% but it was a lovely apartment.
the flowers and card on arrival for my birthday was a nice touch.
it was a very good locaion (approx 5min walk from the station) and an easy walk into town and all of the local attractions.
we were able to store our luggage in the owners apartment on our final day which was also very helpful.On arrival, there was no answer to the bell marked nemo! panic stations!!! then on approaching the neighbouring hotel, the staff their informed us that this often happened and that they thought it may be an illegal service! double panic stations!!! when trying to call all of the numbers provided there was no answer. it was only due to luck, as we were waiting on the doorstep, that some ash from someone in one of the overhead windows cigarettes fell on us that we were let in!
we were also ripped off by the owner who requested our full payment in cash (we were not told this would happen or that we would have to pay in cash so had to give our combined spending money!), which she receipted for us. later that morning she came and requested another 50 euros as she said that we had not pain in full (despite her giving us a receipt for all of the money (which was in full!) that we exchanged eralier that day.
the smell of drugs that came from her room hinted at her lack of cognitive ability and definite mistake over the matter but she would not back down and we had no choice but to part with more of our money.
there were approximately 8 steep staircases to reach the apartment and there was also no prior warning of this - no problem for us, but feel it should be highlighted for other residents who may not be so agile!Anonymous

It was an apartment and not a hotel room which was more preferable.The hotel staff was constantly complaining about little insignificant things. due to the complaints that were not our faullt, the hotel staff made us move from one room to another room which was not nice.Anonymous
