This is a clean, centrally located hotel in amsterdam. the staff is quite helpful and responsive, and i found the accommodations quite good for the rate (as compared to other centrally located hotels in amsterdam, and in other major european cities). the rooms are not very large, and i did not have a good view, but none of this matters to me when i travel. i spend most of my time out and about the city.Anonymous

We got a huge room (a triple room with about 12-foot ceilings, 1.5 bath) on the ground floor, overlooking a canal. i don't think all rooms are that big, though. friendly front desk staff. good location, within walking distance (20 minutes maximum) of many of the city's sights, very near tram routes, many many restaurants and cafes nearby for cheap food. luggage storage was very secure. actually found the hotel to be rather a relief after a cramped train ride to centraal station and a broken-down tram ride, which caused us to walk the rest of the way to the hotel (with heavy luggage) through the littered and busy streets of the city.Nothing that i can remember. Good shower. clean room and overall environment. very good air conditioning, although no ability to alter settings.My room had no view, it was on the inside. no opening window or adjustable air conditioning. reliant on hotel setting the correct level. no pay tv film channel access.Anonymous

On arrival we had been allocated a single room not a double as requested, the "free mini bar" consisted of 2 bottles of water not what we expected, our key was de-activated at 12.00 even though we had taken out the weekend extenderAnonymous

Front desk staff was very helpful. upon checkout, they asked if we would like to store our bags there for the day while we went sightseeing. that saturday night we stayed, we were given a better map than was available at the tourism office and simple directions to the leidseplein with the names & locations of clubs for nightlife. only 5 minute walk from nightlife, and 5 minute walk to daytime attractions- and the central location was not noisy at all! there are a lot of attractions that are not in the center of the "canal necklace," but trams make it easy to visit them, anyway!I don't believe anyone ever gave us our wakeup call that we requested.Lang

Extended time of leaving the hotel till 5pm which was excellent as i had an evening flight.Minibar consisted of 2 bottles of water. if you wanted beers or wine in your room there was no room service or even any guide book in the room informing you of numbers, breakfast or any other facilities. there was a general vending machine on the floor.Anonymous
