Extended time of leaving the hotel till 5pm which was excellent as i had an evening flight.Minibar consisted of 2 bottles of water. if you wanted beers or wine in your room there was no room service or even any guide book in the room informing you of numbers, breakfast or any other facilities. there was a general vending machine on the floor.Anonymous

The location is prime, within walking distance or a two minute tram ride to dam square, and central to just about any tourist site there is. the room was very nicely furnished and comfortable as well. overall, it was a terrific value.The hotel staff could have been a bit more accommodating, but otherwise, we had a good experience.Anonymous

Great imppression at first, staff were great and very well welcomed, rooms cleaned daily to a good standard and the deposit safe was excellent. overall the room and service was great, and an outstanding view, from my room!!!!For the money that i paid the room was rather on the small side unfortunately the majority of all hotel rooms in amsterdam seem to be small, evan though i requested a room with nice view and exra space and quiteness, i got everything but the extra space.
however i enjoyed my stay at the nh hotel, and i will stay again on my next trip to amsterdam, but in a different nh in the city.Stewart

The hotel and rooms were very clean and tidy, description and photo of the rooms were what you found, staff friendly and helpful.Noise from corridors late at night,but that was from other inconsiderate guest. daley

I stayed at the nh city centre hotel from 2nd jan 2009 for 2 nights. the room was clean and had a nice view of the canal, a little small but adequate for the 2 of us. location is excellent plenty of bars and cafes near by. the hotel staff were very helpful and we will definately be back!!!! would recommend Anonymous

Staff were really helpful and well informed. it is hard to imagine them being better. the hotel is in a really good location for the city centre, squares, museums, galleries, cinemas etc etc.Room was cold because a radiator was not working properly; but the staff did come to fix it when we asked. the room was pleasant, but the hotel corridors and public areas could do with updating a bit. the cost of the room almost doubled for the night of 30 december.Oxlee
