How you can get to NH Schiller
1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes a train runs from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport, go to the central hall; here is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station run from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).
2) From Amsterdam Central Station: Take tram nr 16 from the square in front of the station and get off at tram stop 'Muntplein'. From there you can walk to the hotel in approximately 3 minutes. The trams in Amsterdam normally run from 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

Cons: Very quiet and lacking atmosphere. never anyone in the bar. didn't seem interested in celebrating the new year as closed the bar at 8pm! not what i was expecting at all for a new year break.

Cons: When we arrived, we waited almost 15 mins in the check-in desk before, at least, we were greeted. the rooms were much smaller that we had an impression of. the cupboard is not a place for half of the minibar. rest was fine.

Cons: As the hotel is located on a square of bars the noise could be a problem for some though we were offered a room to the rear of the hotel with less noise, only other slight criticism was that it was quite warm in the hotel!

Cons: Lack of information during check in, shabby in some area's, cracked tiles in foyer and in bathroom. the hotel charges were higher than stated on the website and the free mini bar was not confirmed by the hotel and indeed when challenged stated that it was only for the initial fill. the hotel was extremely noisy but the hotel provided ear protectors.
Cons: When asked about locations and how to get there from front desk staff, they were more often than not wrong.
