It's a nice clean hotel room, which allowed early check in and late check out! smaller than some others in the price range.
I'd spent the previous night in a cheaper 3 star hotel in amsterdam and i don't believe this was any nicer or better in any way.

Good reception staff. very quiet room at the back of the hotel (the front would have been very different because of the current works on the rembrandtplein). brasserie menu meal good value for money (apart from the wine prices - though these seemed to be high in many other places too)
No but a) we asked for a twin bedded room and found we had been allocated a double bed (staff recitified this); b) directions to the hotel. did not mention the tram that stopped outside the hotel itself; c) information about payment on the confirmation e mail was confusing.

Nice check-in, very clean room well-appointed.
Not able to access road in front of hotel so had to walk in rain with 2 large pieces of luggage -- no warning on hotel website that rembrandtplein is under renovation. very poor for people with disabilities and elderly people. no help to get luggage into the hotel from the street. i don't think this hotel is very suitable for "mature travellers."
very small elevator and since i had to deal with my own luggage, it was challenging to hold door open and get two pieces of luggage inside.
room was fine, just very small.

Good location, nice bed.
Hotel is a little tired and cleaning staff very noisy in the mornings, not good value for money, charging 5 star prices but not giving 5 star service.

Staff excelllent and helpful without exception-this is a redeeming feature for the hotel. location is good for tourists
We were offered room 602 as a superior room. it has poor windows and was v hot. there is no air conditioning in the hotel. front rooms are offered at a premium these rooms are not good because they are v noisy at night and the big tv screen opposite the hotel is on all night this makes it impossible to have windows and curtains open so air con is essential. we would not recommend this hotel

Room was large and light with a nice bathroom. hotel service was good bringing up iron on request.
Room faced onto the square with all it's bars and clubs so was noisy until the early hours. would have liked more tea and milk in the room.

The room was not as described, suite room had no furniture to sit on!after raising this with staff absolutely nothing was done about it nor was any discount offered. very dissapointing considering the price paid. the basic rooms at 1/2 the price would have been better. definately not worth the extra money.
