"Below standard for a 4 stars hotel"

We booked there for New year Eve for the atmosphere of the location. Wrong idea for the choice of hotel. We booked 3 rooms and no trace of our booking (despite being confirmed). Only one person from the hotel at 10pm (so no room service, no concierge and we had to go down for an extra blanket). Bed was bad (mattress spring died during the night). So all in very good for the location but if you expect a 4 stars service, just forget !

"Short Break"

The Hotel is in an excellent position. The first room we were allocated was very small but as we had booked two single beds and this one had a double bed we were able to get it changed. The next room was very nice - much more spacious and what we would expect for the price.

"Free wireless connection"

We liked the hotel acctually pretty good. Except one thing which really recommend to change. You did not allow free access to the wifi connection. For a upper class hotel company like nh we honestly would have expected to provide free wireless internet connection.Kind regardsRobert Bloch

"Fantastic Square"

It was my first time staying in Rembrandt Square but i will definitely be going back to the hotel. It was a great location, walking distance from everywere we went and the hotel was lovely.

Cons: Very quiet and lacking atmosphere. never anyone in the bar. didn't seem interested in celebrating the new year as closed the bar at 8pm! not what i was expecting at all for a new year break.

Pros: The location is great, the wlan was free in the lobby, that was useful for quick checking of internet, also got 2-3 pages of print-outs for free, that was also helpful, the fridge and the locker in the room was quite good. and it was smartly furnished.
Cons: When we arrived, we waited almost 15 mins in the check-in desk before, at least, we were greeted. the rooms were much smaller that we had an impression of. the cupboard is not a place for half of the minibar. rest was fine.

Pros: Perfect location to explore amsterdam as central to most areas, staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: As the hotel is located on a square of bars the noise could be a problem for some though we were offered a room to the rear of the hotel with less noise, only other slight criticism was that it was quite warm in the hotel!

Cons: Lack of information during check in, shabby in some area's, cracked tiles in foyer and in bathroom. the hotel charges were higher than stated on the website and the free mini bar was not confirmed by the hotel and indeed when challenged stated that it was only for the initial fill. the hotel was extremely noisy but the hotel provided ear protectors.
