How to reach the NL Hotel?From Amsterdam Central Station: Take tram 1, 2 or 5. After 10 minutes you have to gett off at the 'Leidseplein' tram stop and walk in direction of the Mariott Hotel. The hotel was very nice for the price i paid. i was looking for a real amsterdam experience and this was it. i usually travel in more traditional "business" type hotels and wantd to experience the lcoal charm. this hotel was exactly what i had expected.Anonymous

This hotel was amazing. i arrived in amsterdam at 9am and even though the check-in wasn't until 2pm, they hotel was able to admit me at 9am (as there was a room free) and they didn't charge me extra.
room was extremely clean, the bed was super comfortable and the washroom was great.
staff was very friendly and helpful. i felt very safe there being a single female traveller.
location of the hotel was fantastic - close to everything and very easy to get to from the main train station.
i will definitely be staying there again.Bill

Helpful staff and good location. was offered choice of room on arrival and opportunity to look at both.Limited breakfast selection, although the limited choices are of good quality. small rooms in basement that are quite claustrophobic. only frosted glass partitions on bathroom door that gives limited privacy. shower not great. no staff in the hotel at night. no tea making facilities in rooms.Anonymous

Staff very friendly and helpful. good internet connection. Very small room. did not justify high price. if the price was lower i would recommend to the below. i suggest 50 euros a night.Hutcheson

The service was great, as a single traveler i was a little paranoid, especially only being able to speak english, but the service was sensational! they even went out of there way to help me book train tickets online and gave great advice about where to go in amsterdam.

The hotel is modern and clean. the room i was in was not very big but we were on the bottom floor and it was just enough for me and my boyfriend. the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern and nice.
the staff was very friendly and helpful. they gave us a map and recommended places to eat. we really enjoyed it there and would definitely come back.
the hotel is also in a great location. once we figured out how the city was laid out it was easy to get around and there was plenty to see in the immediate area.
The only negatives are the price which is a little steep per night but in all ok. the bathroom tub/shower needs a curtain because the floor got drenched every time we used it. finally the walls are pretty thin so don't expect to sleep in.
