Nova Hotel Amsterdam Location (Map)
The hotel is located on 'Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal' between Dam Square and Spui Square, right in the heart of Amsterdam. Famous shopping areas like the Kalverstraat, Magna Plaza and The Bijenkorf as well as many museums (Anne Frank House, Historical Museum) and the colourful Flower market are nearby. For a night out in the city centre you don’t have to go far either. There are numerous excellent restaurants and cafés in the immediate vicinity and you can ask the hotel's receptionists for more information.
From the Nova Hotel, it’s easy to set out on your discovery of Amsterdam on foot or by tram since all the city’s places of interest are all within a short distance of the hotel. Whether you want to shop for an hour or so, go to a museum, or visit a nice restaurant or café, all it takes is an easy walk or short tram ride to get there.
How to reach the Nova Hotel?1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the centrall hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM.
2) From Amsterdam Central Station: You can take tram no. 1, 2 or 5 departing in front of the station and get off at tram stop 'Dam'. From there you can walk to the hotel in approximately 2 minutes. The trams in Amsterdam are running from 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

I was only myself but i got a huge room with 4 beds :)) room was cleaned every day,towels refreshed.. location just perfect!!! staff so friendly.. i will stay in this hotel on my next visits to the city..

Value for money coming with an excellent breakfast buffetCarpets on hall ways were soiled and stains removed.
there was a large blood stain (30mm in diameter)on a protective undersheet and this should have been removed from the bed.Brown

Great location, clean hotel, breakfast was good and had a good selection, clean towels and sheets every day.The double room (rm 101) was compact and slightly crowded for myself and 6'5" boyfriend and a kettle would have been good for that essential handgover cup of coffee in the morning!Anonymous

The rooms are really big and where clean - was worried about reviews but highly relieved with my stay. breakfast really good - plenty of options.There was a takeaway left in the fridge which wasnt very plesant on arrival and also the safe wouldn't open in the evening and it took the reception evening staff a fair amount of time to get the reset code.Anonymous

Although the nova hotel is not close to the train station it is much closer to the 'centre' or where its all happening.
the rooms are big and there was an extra bed.fantastic to have wireless available in the room.I read on the website that it is only a 5min walk from the train station however this is not true and is a 15min walk (fifteen not five) to get to the hotel. if i had known about i would have taken the tram and not carrying all my luggage from the train station to the hotel.
if you are an elderly or a short person like me the bathroom is not so good because to step into the bathtub from the floor is exceptionally high and can be very dangerous. if you are tall like most dutch people are than its not an issue.Anonymous

The staff were friendly and helpful. the room we had was big. there was also a fridge in the room and they encouraged you to buy food and drink to bring in. the hotel is in a brilliant location.Nothing negative to say.Carter

The location was wonderful and we appreciated the great breakfast. other guests were very quiet and respectful.The trolley car was a little noisy......we had the windows open because it was so warm.
