The hotel is located on 'Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal' between Dam Square and Spui Square, right in the heart of Amsterdam. Famous shopping areas like the Kalverstraat, Magna Plaza and The Bijenkorf as well as many museums (Anne Frank House, Historical Museum) and the colourful Flower market are nearby. For a night out in the city centre you don’t have to go far either. There are numerous excellent restaurants and cafés in the immediate vicinity and you can ask the hotel's receptionists for more information.
From the Nova Hotel, it’s easy to set out on your discovery of Amsterdam on foot or by tram since all the city’s places of interest are all within a short distance of the hotel. Whether you want to shop for an hour or so, go to a museum, or visit a nice restaurant or café, all it takes is an easy walk or short tram ride to get there.
How to reach the Nova Hotel?1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the centrall hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM.
2) From Amsterdam Central Station: You can take tram no. 1, 2 or 5 departing in front of the station and get off at tram stop 'Dam'. From there you can walk to the hotel in approximately 2 minutes. The trams in Amsterdam are running from 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

Excellent service. great location as within walking distance of most places and not too close to red light district so we found it safe walking back late on. free safe in room and free internet access in the lobby helped, if you book a no frills flight and need to print off boarding cards then this is possible to do.Anonymous

Excellent location, easy to reach from station and short walk to town centre. rooms were reasonably sizedNo ventilation in bath and toilet, bad smell however it was clean. the rooms are weared shaped but that's typical for an old dutch house. modern touches in room are not outweighing the general condition of the room which is a need of some ground work. overall the location is perfect and the appearance of the room is fair for the price which is inclusive breakfast.karalar

Really good location, your basiclly in the heart of amsterdam. staff were very helpful and breakfast was good.The view of my room was not great it was of a run down courtyard but wasn't really a big issue for me.
