This charming hotel is located in a quiet and very trendy area with several world famous museums, amongst which: Van Gogh, The National Museum (Rembrandt) and the Municipal Museum). The exciting city centre (Leidse square) and canal rides are within walking distance. You can find restaurants, theatres, the casino, cafés, bars, disco’s and cinemas in the vicinity and shopping streets are also within walking distance.
The hotel is also very close to the Concertgebouw which is famous for its acoustics. The Vondelpark is one minute away and the Leidseplein with its famous cafe's, restaurants and music venues (Paradiso, Melkweg) is at five minutes walking distance. But if you feel like staying close to home for a drink or a bite to eat, you will find just around the corner plenty of cafe's and restaurants.
How to reach the Omega Hotel?By car, from Schiphol Airport: Follow the directions for Amsterdam. From the A10 'Ring Amsterdam' take exit S108, turn right and follow the road. Turn right at the Citroen garage and immediately left at the traffic lights. At the small roundabout take the second road to the right. At the fourth traffic light turn left.
By train, from Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to the below step).
By tram, from Amsterdam Central Station: You can take tram 2 or 16 from the station to tram stop 'Jacob Obrechtstraat'. You can also take tram 3, 5, 12 or 20 to tram stop 'Concertgebouw'. From there you can walk to the hotel in approximately 2 minutes. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

Very good breakfast, efficient pleasant staff
I was not happy about the credit card charge which although was stated on the hotel website was not made clear on the easy to book website, i did email and was referred to the hotel. it should be much clearer on your website. the hotel also had a very drainy smell on the landings and stairs sometimes.Plotnikova

Charming hotel, well situated with close access to museums and vondelpark. nicely done room with two pleasant chairs and a desk. small bathroom, shower no bath, but with charcter. bathroom on lower entry level with steps up in to main room. breakfast basic but good with choice of fried, dutch, cereal and fruit, yoghurt or all of them. staff friendly enough and helpful. i read a lot of comments about the bells of the next door church. didn't bother me at all, in fact charming. i booked the night before travel so didn't expect much and was very pleasantly surprised. i usually get a taxi from the airport but this time used the hotel shuttle for a quarter of the cost and got dropped off outside the hotel. took a bit longer but not much.No. i did have to pay for the room on arrival which was fair enough but i was very impressed not to have to pay online.Anonymous

Nice reception and cleaning staffI phoned reception and explained the safe wasn't working on arrival - i was told it was probably the battery being dead. nothing was done about it for the entire stay of 4 days and i had to carry my valuables around with me all the time.Anonymous

This was a hotel in a exellent location- trams justaround the corner. really qiute and clean and the breakfast was good. will recommend staying in omega and if i go back to amsterdam i would stay thereagain.
