This stunning apartment is located inside a traditional 18th century canal house, beautifully preserved with attention to detail shown in the restoration to create a space that is modern yet identifies with its past. The original fireplaces, exposed ceiling beams and wooden floorboards have all been maintained throughout. The living room features large windows that allow in plenty of natural light comfortable sofas and a flatscreen television and is the ideal place to relax at the end of the day. The kitchen is contemporary and comes fully equipped with everything required to prepare meals in the apartment that can be enjoyed at the dining table.
The apartment features eight single beds across several rooms. One of the bedrooms can be found in the attic, complete with its sloped ceiling and wooden beams creating a typically Dutch atmosphere. The bathroom consists of a toilet and shower.

Amsterdam is best viewed from the water and with the canals right on your doorstep, there is no excuse not to hire a boat or take a cruise. Walking around this area you will be amazed by the stunning canal houses, many of which have been extremely well preserved, including The Museum Van Loon, which provides a fascinating glimpse into how wealthy Dutch merchants lived during the Dutch Golden Age. The apartment is just a short walk from the lively Leidseplein with its high density of bars, cafes, restaurants, clubs and live music venues. Not far from Leidseplein is the city’s largest and most loved park, Vondelpark. If you are interested in art, the Museum Quarter is home to the Rijks Museum and Van Gogh Museum as well as high quality bars, cafes and restaurants and certainly provides a different feel from that of Leidseplein. If you are interested in Amsterdam’s rich history then make sure you visit the Amsterdam Historical Museum, also located close to the apartment.
