Had a decent enough stay at the orange tulip roomsWere OK nothing more nothing less. Towels were left in our bathroom for four days. View from the window was a rusty old boiler with graffiti all over it. Excellent location across the road from the grasshopper and a short walk from dam squareAlso the stairs were very dangerous and steep. Other than that not a bad stay staff were pleasant enough.

we were given a room facing the road first night of our stay no sleep at all as its on a main road wits trams and cars noise whole day and night but they have changed the room to other side of the hotel which is very very quite.Small rooms but clean bed towals and sheets changed every day. Friendly staff very close to major attractions.Just few mins from Amsterdam Central station.Good value for money. Lots for eating places around the hotel.

Good value clean enough rooms stairs bit of an effort but no biggie overall good stay payments could have been more clear tho the site said no charge yet they apparently took 65 pound to reserve the room and this was not mentioned when I booked apart from that a happy stay

Comfy room with a en suite bathroom, very good value for money,great location near to all the Coffee places and restaurant ,really friendly team at the reception.i will definitely suggest this little cosy hotel to all the tourist

Pros: The window in the room is very big an opened all the way.
the view was great
Cons: Its look dirty the room are very small except a bed and a wide window (and the bathroom is ddecent) all reset is crapy

Pros: The hotel is centrally located, only 5-10 minute walk from the central station. the free wifi was very handy. the room was clean and was cleaned every day. the staff were very helpful.
Cons: The walls are pretty thin, and 1-2 guests on our floor came back at 2.30am and were shouting to get their already sleeping friend to open the door. there is no lift and the stairs are ridiculously steep and small.

Pros: The location is great, no curfew, for amsterdam quite cheap.
Cons: The hotel "lobby" does not even deserve the name, the stairs leading up to the hotel are dirty and very old. the staff was not very friendly. when we arrived the power of the hotel did not work and i was left sitting in the dark reception room without any apology. furthermore, at night there were drunken people puking and peeing right in front of the hotel door and one person was using hard drugs in the entrance of the second hotel building were our room was located. the toilets in the "lobby" were dirty to say the least. pee and worse everywhere. when i told the staff this, the answer was: "oh these are not our toilets, they belong to the restaurant downstairs"...
