How to reach the Park Plaza Vondelpark,?By public transport, from Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to the next step).
By public transport, from Amsterdam Central Station: You can take tram line 2 from the square in front of the station and get off at tram stop 'Emmastraat/Koningslaan' (13th stop). From there walk along the tram rails and after 200 meters you will find the hotel on your right-hand side. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

We liked our clean and up-to-date room very much. very good location if you want a quiet neighborhood close to the museums. a short walk to the tram stop. as we were in the building adjacent to the main hotel, we had to go down (when arriving) and up (when leaving) several steps with heavy luggage. breakfast too expensive.Anonymous

The reception and cleaning staff were all extremely helpful. the hotel is a very good standard for a 3* and the rooms were comfortable with excellent bathrooms. there is a fridge from which you can get wine, beer and soft drinks as well as snacks, which you pay for at the 24hr reception - much better than a vending machine! there is also free internet access in the lobby, which was a lifesaver.
the vondelpark is beautiful in the summer and the hotel is a stone's throw away from it. slightly further are the coffeeshops of central amsterdam,(a good 15/20 mins walk from the hotel) but the number 2 tram is very regular (about every 5 mins) and takes you there if you're feeling lazy!The money for the booking had not been taken from my account, which i had not realised - however, the receptionist was amazing, gave us the room key and even apologised that the reservation team had not been in contact to advise on this. many hotel staff would not have been so understanding! however, this did leave me out of pocket for the rest of the holiday, but i should have checked the money had debited myself.Anonymous

Very friendly and helpful staff. good location - quiet and safe with plenty of restaurants, easy to access central amsterdam using trams. vondelpark is lovely, well worth making time to wander around it. hotel is very clean if a little tired in places.As previously mentioned, the glass walls to the bathroom were a little strange.verissimo

The hotel is very easy to be found, very clean, all staff very kind, couple of metres from the tram stop-emmastraat (tram number 2). the hotel is really close to everywhere. basically i'd recommend it to everyone who wish a good time in amsterdam.Walton

Very good hotel. staff very helpful and polite. room cleaned daily, beds changed alternate days. hotel about 15mins from centraal station via tram, just far enough outside the centre so as not to be too noisy but close enough that you can easily walk it too via the park which is absolutely gorgeous and enough of a reason to stay at the hotel. our room was on the street side and we could leave our window open - street noise was not a problem. Small things only, they were a bit tight with the replenishment of the coffee/tea supplies but more were provided when i asked.
not really a problem but the bathroom is actually only a glass partition in the bedroom. we didn't mind cos when you have been in a relationship a long time, you've seen it all :o), however, this arrangement might be a bit uncomfortable for a couple who have not been together very longBlanchard

The staff were particularly pleasant and helpful the rooms good value for money and very clean breakfast was plentiful and the choice very good plus again the staff were helpful and courteous the position around the lovely park made the stay pleasant being away from the centre but very accessible with the transport system so goodWallace

Good air conditioning, clean, very helpful staffMy impression from the website was that it was a nicer hotel. i have stayed in other park plazas around the world and they usually have nicer rooms, beds, and nicer facilities. i did not find it a value for the price i paid. i could have stayed at a much nicer place for the same price, the marriot renaissance. the rooms are great and i would have been in the city center. so i found the description of rooms and facilities misleading, therefore my overall experience was a bit sour.
