Showers could be a bit cleaner

Location is not desirable, in the day it is not a problem as the tram does take only 15 minutes, however, if you are going for a weekend away like me and my friend, be prepared to get a taxi home as the trams stop at 12! we were there two nights and the taxis cost us 60 euros, which if you add on to the price we paid for the hotel we could have got more than a half decent one in the centre, also our key cards never worked when we got home at night, we had to go all the way down to reception and get them to correct it before we could get in

You are unable to open the windows and the air conditioning is centrally controlled so you cannot control the room temperature. however, the staff where very helpful and supplied us with a fan.

The room says u could change colour but we couldnt it was red the hole time but sure woulnt put the place down 4 just that!! it was a good bit away from town centre when your going in an out twice a day

No central heating, too cool in the evening

The room was not clean and we had to ask for the floor to be cleaned again when we first got into the room. on the website it mentions that you can change the lights in the room to suit your mood, this is not true, there is no longer the facility to change the colours so the website should be updated with this information.

Cleanless, and we missed fresh air in the room...

They could clean a bit more often.... but not too bad.

First of all, before choose this hotel i read all the reviews, and when reading the negative points about the place, i tought that perhaps people were just to fussy, but they were not!!! i'd say that qbic hotel is not a hotel, but a youth hostel with a nice decoration. my bedroom was so dirty and with so many hair on the floor that it could make a wig. the room had no "do not disturb" signage, so i was waken up on a sunday by the maid who literally, and i said literally banged a the door just to handle clean towels to me. the place has no room service, just vending machines which around 11:00pm were completely empty and no food could be found around the hotel. the toilet is very dark and and has no door making this hotel is a terrible idea for couples. also a open window could be a good idea in the room. the only good thing i have to say about the hotel is the reception guys who were extremely friendly.

The neonlight around the bed were blue the whole time, we couldn't figure out how to change the settings (more info about that)

The hotel is based quite far away from the centre of amsterdam so it was quite a journey to get in and out of town. there was only 1 member of staff on duty at each time as everything was self service which we did not like.

Hotel room is not clean (especially on the floor and the quilt). need a big mirror (to see yourself from head to toe)as well as a curtain or sliding door for the showerspace and the toilet, since everybody can see them when your room door is open.

The fire alarm went on at 5am :-(

Could you place a cup in the room? there was nothing to drink water from. i took a paper cup from the breakfast area. perhaps a paper cup in the room would be convenient.
