Tourist attractions and museums are in great numbers around the Rembrandt Centrum Hotel: Anne Frank House, Rembrandt House, Madame Tussaud, as well as many shopping centres: The '9 straatjes' (unique small shops around the hotel), the 'Kalverstraat', Kalvertoren and Magna Plaza.
How to reach the Rembrandt Classic Hotel?2) From Amsterdam Central Station: Take tram 1, 2, 5, 13 or 17 and get off at tram stop 'Dam'. You are now at the back of Dam Square, next to Magna Plaza Shopping Centre. Just walk around the corner where you reach the Raadhuisstraat (behind you there is the Royal Palace). Walk straight ahead until the Herengracht. Go to the left (cross the street) and stay at this side of the canal. After the crossing street 'Gasthuismolensteeg' you will find the hotel with the blue sunshide. From the tram stop it is only a 5-minute walk to the hotel. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

The deluxe room had no shower... only a bath that was under the eaves... no way to stand up. the room was locate in older section and was poor positioned. the tiny 13 inch tv was terrible and too far away to see

The hotel is wonderfully located and the room was very big. er were three and there were three chairs!The bathroom is tiny, the towels looked dirty (they were grey) there are no tea or coffee stuff in the rooms as some other hotels offer. things look good but shabby.Anonymous

Excellent location 10 min walk to leidseplein, 5 mins to dam square and a further 5 to the red light district. a flight of about 15 steps greet you so if you are elderly or weak leave them at the bottom and ask for help at reception. all receptionists we met were pleasant and informative. there are 2 lifts next to each other so we never waited for a lift. bed was very comfortable and the pillows the softest ive ever slept on in a hotel. be cause the room are formed into a courtyard effect rising upwards you can hear people in every room and i mean everything so close your windows if you dont want a round of applause when you finish. rooms were cleaned everyday. cant comment on breakfast as we never got up in time.A seating area either just outside hotel or next to canal would be an improvement. a table and 3 chairs were next to the canal but they belonged to offices next to the hotel.Stubbs

Brilliant spot, couple of minutes to dan square. on a canal although we could not upgrade as it was full.helpful reception staff. all in all good value for money mostly due to location.Was a bit annoyed no movies or sat. tv as i specifically asked and website says they have. room was v clean but daily cleaner cleaned bathroom by chucking everything in middle of bedroom! room was v hot at night but as i have been to amsterdam 8 times before and always previously in january that was something i could live with!O\'Neill

Nice comfy rooms, excellent value for money. staff helpful.Very noisy cleaners in the morning, woke us up every morning singing and banging around in the corridors. also room was very hot and had no heating controls.Anonymous
