Cons: Definately not 5 star,booked room for 4 nights with access to the "club lounge",vry poor limited choice breakfast not worth the money they charge for this, its at best a 4 star hotel stayed 1 night then moved to the krasnapolsky on dam square which is a 5 star hotel.

Pros: Very polite and helpful staff, good standard of the rooms. very nice and clean facilities. it is located on a quiet backstreet not more than a 5 minute walk from the central station.
Cons: It was a little sad that you couldn't even watch television without being charged an extra €20-something per day. i almost never watch tv at home, but i think it should be included in the rate in any hotel with some level of service.

Cons: I made 2 transactions at the hotel on my credit card and then tried to make purchases in shops and found my card was blocked. i found out when i got home the hotel had taken 135 euros extra on my card, apparantly in case of theft/to cover items from mini bar etc. i was not told about this and think it is a disgrace. it spoiled my holiday and shopping trip as i could not purchase the things i wanted as i did not have enough credit on my card, or any other spending money. if they are going to do this, they should tell the customer, and also inform them of the amount. three days after returning home, the money has not been refunded onto my card, and i am left wondering if i am going to have to battle to get it back. it has had the effect of completely ruining my holiday, and i am really angry that they can just take this money without my authorisation. i will never again stay at a hotel where i have not pre-paid in the uk. it is a disgrace they are able to take my hard earned money, and leave me without any spending money whilst on holiday. i would never therefore recommend this hotel.
