Cons: Don't stay in this hotel. the rooms are small and for the price one could expect a much better room.
when we left the hotel we have been charged city tax (5% on the total). instead of 30€ they charged us 150€ city tax. they claimed that the 5% of the total have to be multiplied by the number of people in the room which is totally bullshit. in total we had to pay 20% city tax. also we did not want to give us a proper bill without a intense discussion for more than 30 minutes.
don't stay here, it is not worth the trouble you may have when you check out.
Pros: Some of the staff were friendly
Cons: Shower did not work in room 441, pillows were pathetic no support for head whatsoever, broken pedal bin in room(pedal did not work) no hairdryer, no tea facilities, breakfast excluded, could smell smoke in the room from adjacent room where individuals were smoking. front entrance step mats are worn out. room was over priced for what you receive, will not stay here again. have been visiting amsterdam for 10 years every year and have stayed in many hotels this one was one of the poorer standard hotels

Cons: There´re carpets in the entire hotel which is actually not a very good idea, because it doesn´t matter how often you vacuum it, it´s never completely dustfree and clean!!!!
and the room smells a bit stuffy, not very well ventilated!
breakfast was ok, not so much choices, and all the same food every morning! it could be better!
