Hotel Sander is located in a residential area, just three minutes walking distance from the newly built Museum Square and is very close to Amsterdam's three major museums; The Rijks Museum, the Stedelijk Museum and the Van Gogh Museum.
Also the world famous "Concertgebouw" is only a few steps away. The hotel is also located near the Rai Congress Hall and close by the captivating Vondel Park; ideal for jogging, a relaxing walk, or just sitting and basking in the sun. In the weekends, during daytime, the park attraction features Pop (and other) musicians who give free public performances.
Just a short walk from the hotel you will find the Leidseplein, one of Amsterdam's liveliest entertainment spots. We had been double-booked it seemed and were going to be offered a different hotel. we had booked months in advance!

I cannot comment about the sander as i was booked out to another hotel nearby (omega hotel) as they had overboked their hotel. they told me the omega was of a higher standard, which was not true but my experience there was a positive one on the whole. It is never a pleasant experience to be booked out. Anonymous

I recommend the sander -the room was small but clean bathroom very clean and staff very helpful internet access superb. breakfast was good and thought it was nice touch to have umbrellas available for guest use!very good value.centrum is very walkable or trams very close.NoAnonymous

Tha staff were very friendly. very experienced in answering questions and making guests comfortable. caring about all the questions i had! I could hear the tv from next door and even snoring which was a bit irritating! i think they can do a better job for room service in temrs of cleaning the room and setting the bedding...Anonymous

Nice large rooms,clean & tidy, good breakfasts.They say they accept credit/debit cards, but they have only an old strip reader not chip and pin. we had difficulty and expense in having to take out enough cash from a dispenser at the last minute as their old machine could not read the strip on our debit card. hill
