My boyfriend and I stayed at Sebastian's for a couple of nights at the end of February 2012. The location of the hotel was picturesque and easy to find and the hotel itself was lovely. We stayed in the small double overlooking the canal which was nice, it wasn't too small and there was a complimentary Nespresso machine which was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend getting a room that overlooks the canal, you can't beat the serenity.My only negative would be the breakfast, I didn't think it was great value for money at 10 euros a head, and also the bike hire (24 hour) was pricey compared to other outlets we saw. However that is a price you pay for convenience I suspect.Would definitely visit again.

We found Sebastians on the internet and were very pleased wth what we had booked. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our bedroom had a lovely outlook on the canal and was very warm which was welcoming as it was so cold outside! We were amazed to see the canals had completely frozen over which made our stay even more fantastic.The bed was very comfortable with plenty of room and the room was very clean and towels replaced after the one night.The only small complaint we had was the toilet was very close to the door so knees could touch it! Also the walls were fairly thin and we could hear our noisy neighbours very clearly!Other than this we would certainly visit again and recommend it to others. Thank you.

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. thr hotel is in a great location for exploring the real amsterdam with great local cafes, bars, restaurants and individual shops in the many side streets.
Cons: The room was the biggest on the floor with no air conditioning and it was very warm. we had to open the windows and unfortunately we all got bitten by mosquitoes.

Pros: Loved our stay in the hotel sebastian's amsterdam,the rooms were clean comfortable and the staff were the very friendly helpful and nothing was to much trouble, location was great on a quiet canal street but only a short walk to lovley restaurants and bars,the staff are only to happy to point you in the right direction thay give us a map and marked of places that would interest us. would stay again.

Pros: Having already stayed at this hotel and being impressed by the atmosphere, courteous staff, cleanliness of the hotel and brilliant breakfast we decided to return. we stayed in a large double with canal view which surpassed our expectations! having stayed in quite a few different amsterdam hotels this is the only one we feel we trust and rely upon. we will definately return to sebastians for a 3rd time :)
