We stayed at Hotel Sebastian for 3 nights. Everything was wonderful. The staff very happy, friendly and helpful. The location very quite, yet very lose to all the action. The room large and beautifully decorated. The bed very very comfortable. The bathroom luxurious.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel for my wife's 50th birthday. Our room was very quirky, quaint and romantic. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we received a lovely surprise in the room for my wife's birthday which was a wonderful touch and made the stay memorable. The breakfast was also good value for a good selection of food.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Interesting decor. We had a large room at the back so quiet. Breakfast was ample. As you would expect in Amsterdam, the staircases are quite narrow and steep but there is a lift to soom rooms.

Wonderful staff, comfortable and stylish room (wife fell ill, but we were more than happy in our room!). Lovely bar for breakfast.Location was perfect - lovely canal, and although no shortage of those, it was quiet and surrounded by some really lovely places. It was also just around the corner from a marvelous morning market.

Me and my partner stayed in this hotel for three nights over the easter bank holiday weekend. The location is great, not far from the station, and close to Barneys and some lovely restaurants.There was some refurbishments going on at the hotel at the time which didnt really affect our stay. The only few gripes we had was with our neighbours as the walls are quite thin - they were incredibly noisy and the bed was bowed so we were both falling off the sides. The room was nice and warm and had a lovely canal view. The shower was excellent too.Breakfast was good, had a lot of choice and was added onto our booking for free which was a bonus.. Although by the time we went down (around 10.30) the hot food was getting a bit cold.

Arrived at the hotel on 23rd Feb 2013 and was greeted by two lovely reception staff. As I had booked this a surprise for my boyfriends Christmas they upgraded our room. Decor in the hotel is lovely & the rooms are cosey. Would recommend a canal view room as the view is lovely, especially at night. Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Centraal and about a 15 minute walk to red light. Jordaan is also close by which is lovely. Overall I would recommend this hotel for couples who are looking for a romantic city break.Pros: Everything!Cons: None!

Hotel Sebastian's is located on a sleepy canal street, but don't let that fool you - it's a very short walk to many restaurants, boutiques, bars, etc. and a 10-15 minute easy walk to Centraal Station). At 105 Euros (for a double room with canal view), the price can't be beat, although the canal view "sitting room" has old wooden beams (which are quite lovely if I do say so myself) that you will hit your head on if you are not careful (or after you've had a view drinks). Also, can't say that I loved the colors of the inside of the hotel or the hotel room, but it's funky and interesting in its own right (in other words, don't get hung up on it). The staff was very helpful, spoke immaculate English, and always readily available. I couldn't figure out how to contact the front desk using the in-room phone and subsequently was charged a whopping .50, but the hotel cannot be faulted for my user error (plus I am positive they would have reimbursed me had I asked). Overall, while I am sure there are better hotels in Amsterdam, if you're looking for something with a great location at a great price, Hotel Sebastian's is guaranteed to please.

This was my second stay at Hotel Sebastians and the staff remembered me from my last visit which felt nice and welcoming. My single en-suite room was very well equiped with everything I needed, clean and not a bad size for a dutch hotel. The bathroom was also very clean, modern and full of lovely toiletries.There was some building works in the building next door that woke me up at 7am every morning of my stay, but that just got me up and out into the city a little bit earlier for a day of sightseeing.The hotel is located in a lovely part of town, handy for lots of great shops and not too far to walk if you want the buzz of the regular tourist spots.I will definatly stay here next time I visit Amsterdam.

I stayed here for two nights. The hotel is "really" colorful. It is a 10mins walk from the Central Station. The staffs are really friendly and helpful. The rooms are small, but neat and nicely decorated. If you are on a business trip, you would find it a little inconvenient as my room did not have a business work desk, but if you are there to relax and enjoy the city, this is a good hotel for its price.

Had a great stay in Amsterdam at Hotel Sebastian's. Really friendly and helpful service and a very good location - ten mins walk from Centraal Station and on the edge of the Jordaan which is the nicest part of Amsterdam.Rooms were clean, well provided and also breakfast was good.Recommended!

Close to the main train station. Very clean rooms, good facilities. Nice décor. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was impressive. Our neighbours were a bit noisy but hardly the hotel's fault. Jordaan is a nice district to stay in, plenty of nice restaurants in walking distance. Was good value for money. We would go back again.

Staff of Sebastian's were excellent, particularly Lisa and Robbie. Genuine caring and actions oriented towards ensuring we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, which we did.Construction outside of room facing canal was a minus.Also, asked for our room not to be cleaned on the 1st night as we didn't want anyone to go into our room, but despite asking the housekeeper, our room was cleaned anyhow.Great value, great people. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was central to where we wanted to be and in a quiet location overlooking a canal, about a 10/15 minute walk from central station. Our room was classified as a small double which it was but was more than adequate for my husband's & my needs. the staff were very friendly & helpful. The breakfast was good. I would recommend this Hotel & would stay again if visiting this lovely city.

Very comfy bed and bedding. Nice and clean. Quirky decor which is mainly purple and sillver (not to everyones taste but really different and you can see a lot of effort has gone into the decorating). Staff were very helpful and friendly.

we stayed for three nights and have never met such enthusiastic and helpful staff in the hotel!the beds were the most comfortable we have ever known,the room was small but perfectly formed and had a great coffee machine! the view of the canal was stunning! we chose sebastians as we did not want to stay in a noisy area and we were not disappointed!usually when we return from holiday we are very tired however we came home feeling refreshed and well rested!! all the main tourist attractions were close to walk to<i would highly recommend this hotel and will return next year!!
