Lovely location across from river and very quiet even though we were in the room off reception at street level
The hotel bar is lousy and we were not allowed use it one night of our stay and there were eight of us looking for a nightcap.Ruffles

Highly recommended. great location. in a really nice area but still only a short walk to the city centre. the double rooms were a good size & nicely decorated. some with a balcony and lovely views. rooms were very clean and breakfast was nice & simple. we were in a large group and everyone was happy with the standard of the hotel. No hairdryer, safe or iron in roomAnonymous

Pleasant and helpful reception staff, everywhere very clean and bright. room was large, warm, airy and clean and beds were comfortable. breakfast good. plenty of transport nearby and restaurants. theatre next door a real plus.Would have appreciated tea making facilities in room.Anonymous

I great location, hotel staff were very nice, always someone on the door to let you in, nice rooms and clean.Expected a slightly better view'especially as our booking said with nice views', we were overlooking a roof on the ground floor..not a big deal though..go outside if you want the view!Anonymous

Excellent friendly staff.clean and tidy hotel with good breakfast.A little difficult to get to the busier parts of amsterdam until you work out the tram system although they are within walking distance.Anonymous

We booked a room w/ no window. we were given a room w/ a window, very nice. breakfast was wonderful. free internet access. will definately stay again soon. Our room didn't have an alarm clock, and don't rely on wake up calls. woke up 5 min's within taxi arriving to leave for airport... small negative that can be taken care of. bring an alarm clock. : ) Allen

Everyone working at the hotel were friendly and very helpful. they were able to point out good restaurants and cafes close to the hotel. the room was large and had its own balcony with a small table and chairs. this overlooked the amstel which although full of interest was never noisy and brash. We had a lovely scenic double room overlooking a canal - which was simply devine. facilities were good and clean. the staff were quite helpful. hotel is very near close to tram station, but if you are game, walking to center of city takes only 20 minutes. breakfast spread was excellent. will recommend it to couples who want a romantic stay. Getting up to the room was via a narrow staircase which was a struggle with 2 heavy bags. the bathroom is not lit well and had only a small mirror over the sink. Anonymous

This hotel provided excellent value for money. the staff was terrific, the breakfast selection was great, the room was large and the street location opposite the canals was pleasant and a short walk from city attractions.
