The hotel location and facilities are excellent. The breakfast is varied and of good quality. The hotel staff are helpful but on 2 occasions when we were waiting at the reception desk there were a number of staff standing there doing nothing and only one or two people managing the desk. The people managing the desk failed to acknowledge us standing there until we were served. Some sort of comment would have been courteous eg sorry to keep you waiting. It was very frustrating there was no acknowledgement from staff it was as though we were invisible!

My partner & I stayed in a junior suite here for the weekend. The hotel and suite were incredible, and the service was first-rate, (including the personal butler)!The spa was slightly overpriced for treatments, and we did not eat any meals in the hotel so I cannot comment, but otherwise I would happily recommend staying here. It is very convenient for all the major Amsterdam attractions, but situated in a quiet side street overlooking a pretty canal.
