The Quentin England Hotel Amsterdam

Staff refused to give a receipt upon payment. staff were unable to provide a towel for over half of my stay. room had no window, and was more narrow than my armspan.

Indifferent staff - i cannot say that they lack kindness, but they were not too hospitable, either. also, the walls of the room are too thin - the sounds from the room next to ours could be heard.

The staff was not too helpful or willing to serve, except one of the four we were dealing with. there were holes in the towels we were given in hotel room. there was nothing fresh for breakfast and refilling everything in breakfast was slow and only made when asked. mailbox in reception would be nice and not too difficult to arrange. no door in the luggage room. no remote panel to television in our hotel room. the double devey was not too comfortable, would be nice to have your own devey. there was no soap next to the shower, the bottle was empty. i won't recommend this hotel to my friends.

Almost everything! upon arrival the staff was incredibly rude, the towels given to us were dirty, the stairs were a nightmare (so steep), the walls are paper thin, ect.

Very basic facilities, room smelled of smoke, wetroom with toilet got very messy quite soon as their was nothing to stop the water from the shower running all over the floor and toilet. i am sure for £20 i would have got much more value for my money and breakfast included.

They had a burst water pip in my room so they had to send us to the quentin hotel that one was lovely

Some of the staff were unhelpful and unfriendly!

I booked three rooms in all, one was dirty with a broken television that was never repaired, broken lights that were never repaired and the shower head was not connected to the wall and so you had to hold it to wash. we reported all the problems immediately but despite being told by one person that they were being dealt with, we were told by another that they hadn't been reported. we were eventually given a remote control for the tv but that didn't work. we were given a further 4 to try but none of them worked. the attitude of the staff was along the lines of 'its tough'. there were no tea making facilities although you could get hot drinks at reception - although obviously for a charge. i had booked two triple rooms and one double. the double room was in the basement, was very, very small with just the tiniest of light coming through a small pavement-level window.

One of the parties room had sockets hanging off the wall, which was a danger.

After day one we received no clean towels
