This colourful hotel is situated at the embankment of the beautiful Herengracht in the city centre of Amsterdam.

The Times Hotel Amsterdam is ideally located at the embankment of the beautiful Herengracht. This canal lies in the centre of Amsterdam and gives you the possibility to easily reach the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum, Concert Hall or one of the enjoyable shopping streets. The Anne Frank House, the Wester Tower and the Royal Palace on Dam Square are also within walking distance.

The monumental premises located at the Herengracht canal date back to 1650, and were renovated in such a way that the characteristics of bygone days have been well preserved. The hotel itself is well-known for its unique design-meets-old-dutch atmosphere and it features pleasant and beautiful carpet.

The hotel's 33 rooms are comfortably and colourfully furnished. All the rooms are equipped with a double bed or twin beds, toilet, shower and/or bath, telephone, ADSL connection, safe, air conditioning and LCD television. The team of The Times Hotel Amsterdam would be delighted to welcome you in this beautiful and colourful hotel and to inform you on a variety of culinary and cultural outings in Amsterdam.

The Anne Frank House is around the corner and Dam Square and the Royal Palace are quickly reached on foot. In the near vicinity you will also find the Nieuwendijk and Kalverstraat shopping streets, as well as the Bijenkorf and Magna Plaza department stores.

 "Great value"
Comfortable bed, good value, our room was right off the lobby so expected it to be a little noisy and it was but only in the morning. Breakfast was fine, and convenient at 10euro.

The shower was great but cycled between hot and warm water... weird, but not a dealbreaker. Would stay again.

 "Perfect location, good hotel...would recommend"
The location is perfect for exploring Amsterdam as it is a short walk to Dam square with plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and bars around. The P1 car park by central station is also close by which is great if you are driving to Amsterdam. The hotel is a lovely building overlooking Herengracht canal. The room was basic and dimly lit (due to wall facing window in our room) and could be better to make it a fantastic hotel but does give you everything you need with comfortable beds.

 "Neat and Smart"
We landed late - so our check in was after 11pm. The room we were given was close to the reception - so a little bit noisy, & very small with no view. But the location of hotel was perfect for exploring the next day.

 "Will not stay again"
The hotel is very clean and has a great location. That's about all it has going for it.We arrived on a Saturday evening and were given room 52. This room is on the ground floor next to reception. When in the room you could clearly hear the receptionists conversations as well as anyone who came or went. As I was running the amsterdam marathon the next morning I asked to move rooms, I was told this was not possible. I picked this hotel because it was in a quiet location and wanted to get a good night's sleep, in the end the location was quiet just a shame the receptionist couldn't keep her mouth shut.

 "Short Break"
The Times Hotel is in a quiet street near the Anne Frank house and close to the city centre. We paid extra for a canal view room which was lovely though the room was small had no seats and only a shower. The street was very quiet and there was no noise at night. The Hotel has very steep stairs but does have a lift. The reception staff were freindly and helpful. We choose to eat a block away at Greenwoods rather than breakfast in the hotel. We felt it was expensive but then so are all the other hotels in the city centre.

 "Best thing is the location"
Room was small and not very clean (someone elses socks under the bed). The breakfast was expensive and we gave it a miss. You pay for tea and coffee in the lobby when you would expect them to be free. The location was fantastic. We paid for a canal view and out was really lovely. I would stay there again, as it was such a pretty and convenient location.
