The hotel is very clean and has a great location. That's about all it has going for it.We arrived on a Saturday evening and were given room 52. This room is on the ground floor next to reception. When in the room you could clearly hear the receptionists conversations as well as anyone who came or went. As I was running the amsterdam marathon the next morning I asked to move rooms, I was told this was not possible. I picked this hotel because it was in a quiet location and wanted to get a good night's sleep, in the end the location was quiet just a shame the receptionist couldn't keep her mouth shut.

The Times Hotel is in a quiet street near the Anne Frank house and close to the city centre. We paid extra for a canal view room which was lovely though the room was small had no seats and only a shower. The street was very quiet and there was no noise at night. The Hotel has very steep stairs but does have a lift. The reception staff were freindly and helpful. We choose to eat a block away at Greenwoods rather than breakfast in the hotel. We felt it was expensive but then so are all the other hotels in the city centre.

Room was small and not very clean (someone elses socks under the bed). The breakfast was expensive and we gave it a miss. You pay for tea and coffee in the lobby when you would expect them to be free. The location was fantastic.We paid for a canal view and out was really lovely. I would stay there again, as it was such a pretty and convenient location.

Pros: The times hotel is the perfect spot for a break in amsterdam. centrally located on the best part of the herrengracht canal. rooms are spotless. i reccomend that you pay a little extra and book a canal facing room

Pros: The room was very clean, bright, and quaint. just like the hotel flyer stated, it was a great mix of traditional dutch and modern.
