Read a few of the reviews on the site and got a mixed opinion of good and bad but decided that my own opinion of this hotel was more important, really good place to stay, clean and very friendly ppl,.

A room without a windows near employees's room. No private stay. Electricity near water in very special and dangerous arrangement. no changes of sheets ans towels during 4 days. Beds and shower, not so bad.

Nice and quiet. Lovely setting on water front. Easy access to trams and eateries. Rooms were small but we didnt plan on spending much time in them anyway. Only thing was pillows....too thin not comfy..

Perfect base for exploring Amsterdam!! Very central location so easy to access trams or just walk everywhere like we did! Our room was small but we were hardly in it so not a problem. Very friendly and helpful staff who showed us all the places we wanted to go on a map. Many thanks xx

First of all the location is fantastic and the front desk reception staff were really friendly and helpfull however that's when the praise will stop .the bathroom was filthy with mould on the tiles no shampoo or soap hair dryer not working and first night the room was freezing but was worst of all the odeon next door is a nightclub which is open on fri and sat night , we arrived on sat night which was a techno night at the club so we didn't get any sleep till 4 am I don't know what was worst the noise or the thumping vibrations

Great location and ok standard. Our room was a bit claustrophobic as it only had a tiny window towards a shaft. If you're not planning on spending a lot of time in your room then this is a good, quite cheap place to stay, right by the canal and the flowermarket.

Reading previous reviews,i was looking forward to a quiet,small hotel in the centre of Amsterdam.When we arrived(at around 5pm),the room wasn't ready.After a short wait we entered the room to discover what ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY EUROS gets you for ONE NIGHT in Amsterdam.Not a lot by all accounts-dirty walls,sink hanging on the wall was held up with hope(didn't want to touch it in case it fell off!),our window opened onto the stairs inside the hotel,tiles broken and missing in the hellhole that passed for a bathroom.To top it all off,we discovered this "quiet"hotel was next to a nightclub(open until 5am) with the loudest speakers known to man next to our room causing the walls to vibrate to the bass!Amsterdam is a lovely place and the people are great.This hotel is neither.Go at your own risk.You have been warned!

We have booked two triple rooms. One of the rooms had a dirty toilet and the other room difficulty with flushing the toilet, shower was poor and towels hard. A lot of money for this quality. You pay for the perfect central location with view of the canal!I would not recommend this hotel in his state, but for one night its ok but for more nights if renovated it would be better.

Pros: Location is everything
Cons: I don't have very high expectations when it comes to hotels in europe, but other travellers should know that there is no elevator, and the rooms are quite small.

Cons: Everything else.tv only worked 2 of 5 nights.the mini fridge didn't work at all.room cleaned only 2 nights of 5.the room was so small the one closet would only open with one door,the other didn't have the room to open.no room to unpack,had to store my clothes in my bag under the bed.the front desk was only open 10-8 and there wasn't a phone anywhere in the hotel. this really isn't a hotel,more of a youth hostel trying to masquerade as a hotel.when they had me pay in full on check in i should have known something was wrong. good move on their part though after you pay you can't leave. i wouldn't recommended this place to anyone.
