The hotel is located in the city centre of Amsterdam, close to the Dam Square, nice shopping streets and museums. Tourist Inn Hotel is located at a few minutes walking distance from Central Station, in the heart of Amsterdam. Also The Rembrandtplein, the Waterlooplein, Royal Palace and Leidseplein are within walking distance from the hotel.
How to reach the Tourist Inn Hotel?1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).
2) From Amsterdam Central Station: You don't need to take a tram as the hotel is just a 5-minute walk away from Amsterdam Central Station. If you wish, you can take tram nr. 1, 2 or 5 from the square in front of the station and get off at the first stop. The hotel is behind the buildings you will face when you get off the tram. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

Fairly clean room and bathroom. helpful staff. easy internet access for a small cost. excellent location.
if you are trying to visit amsterdam's central city (red light district, anne frank house, shopping, coffee shops) then this is an excellent location.
Bathrooms were very small. stairs were narrow and steep. there is a lift but it only fits two people with luggage.Knox

Beds were very confortable, rooms and communal areas were cleanStaff were not particularly friendly
we had 2 x 6 birth rooms and it stated they had en suite however the bathrooms were not en suite and were located across the hall.
the breakfast ended at 9.30, which was ridiculously early for our stag party, but after the first day of getting up for it we realised there was no point anyway - it was awful. one of our party asked for a glass of water at 9.32 and was refused as "breakfast was now finished" - technically true, but certainly not great customer service.Pollock

Good location, easy to get to all the main sights. air accommodation. pleasant enough staff. decent security with card for door.No safety deposit box despite being told otherwise. locker is merely a cuboard with a lock that doesnt really work.Anonymous

Good location, friendly staff. A lot of road noise in the mornings. our sheets were dirty. breakfast is not up to much, they reakky need to buy a new toaster!Anonymous

Customer satisfaction doesn't seem to be a priority for the hotel staff, neither for the management. the attitude is take it or leave it and we don't care if you are happy or not or need anything or not. the hotel is not expensive, so its not surprising that the rooms and facilities are not top. but services such as checking in and out, breakfast and storage rooms, information and friendliness are lacking a minimum level of correctness. no need to bother sending a complaint letter to the hotel itself, they wouldn't care anyway. i would not recommend this hotel to people looking for a place to stay in a nice but economically affordable location.Anonymous

Cheap, great location, stayed in the 5 bedroom room which had nice tv and 5 single comfy beds. toilets and shower were spotless and there is a lift! and free tea, juice, toast and cereal in the morningDidnt know it was a non smoking hotel but we got away with it anyway. breakfast stops at 9.30!!!Anonymous

Location was fabulous, close to everything. room was fine, big windows, great shower, private bathroom. our expectations are low for a room at this price, we prefer to spend our money on enjoying the city. this hotel is more like a hostel, but that is fine.Staff were ill informed bordering on cruel. credit card machine was down, cash payment demanded. room was not cleaned, bedding not changed until we made friends with the poor guy who had to do it and gave him a tip. we were told that we had to move rooms, packed up everything, brought it downstairs and then were told that there was a cancellation and we could stay where we were. forcing us to waste valuable time on our last day-very aggravating! front desk staff have no clue about customer service, management clearly doesn't care. will not stay again, not because of the hotel itself but rather because of the shoddy treatment received throughout our stay.Anonymous
