 "very average"
heavy repair works conducted in front of the hotel - no information at the site when booking, breakfast is poor at the price of 7.5 Euros, beds not very good - pillows and matresses are very bad.

 "clean cheap and noisy"
great staff, super friendly, rooms clean, all the basics coveredlots of loud idiot tourists at night though... combined with thin doors, makes for a light sleep, but i guess that aside, great value awesome location, away from the riff raff of Rembantplein, but a 5 min walk away,Internet was a bit slow, but still working, which was also great.definetly recommend this hotel for a party weekend, definitely not for romantic nights

"The area was lovely, although far from the main town"
Pros: The area was lovely, although far from the main town.
Cons: The hotel was awful; dirty, small, cheap, extremely overpriced, and nothing like the pictures. we paid £120 for two nights. the first room we were taken to was a cupboard i wouldn't even put a dog in. when we complained, they looked totally confused. the next room was bigger, but so basic and cheap with cracked doors etc. the window was broken and could not be closed, and we were eaten alive by mosquitos at night. would not recommend. the only upside was the staff were generally helpful and friendly.

Cons: We were not actually put up in the townhouse hotel as on arrival we were diverted to itc hotel across the way which was overpriced for the facilities offered. the first room we were offered was a box room with a tiny bathroom with swing doors. on request we were given a bigger room which while better still was not up to the standard for the prices paid (nearly £500 for 3 nights stay). the toilet room did not close properly and the decor was straight out of the 80s-early 90s. the only positive is the fact that the hotel was centrally located.

Pros: We asked for a room at the front with canal view so they put us in the ict hotel accross the canal. very nice staff, great location.
Cons: The toilet was so small my boyfriend coultn't sit on it and close the door! tiniet toilet ever! no frills hotel and very drafty windows but if you're just looking for somewhere to sleep and rest i'd definitely recommend it, just dont expect any luxury

 "Great location and kind staff"
Pros: Great location and kind staff.
Cons: The breakfast room is quite small and rather expensive for what is offered. some of the rooms are located in the basement and thus moisture attracts many mosquitoes of whom i was victim during my stay. i came back with over thirty bug bites.

"Staff were an asset to the business, very helpful"
Pros: Staff were an asset to the business, very helpful. location was excellent and very easy to navigate to/from.
Cons: We were just after somewhere cheap with a bed and a sink and a toilet. townhouse hit the spot - its a no frills hotel so don't expect the attention to detail that you would find in a larger chain hotel or more expensive hotel. a couple of things that we noticed (but could deal with) were - room smelled faintly of cigarettes (smoker (tobacco) friendly rooms), the canal view room was very noisy (but this adds to the atmosphere), some noisy boisterous men were staying downstairs and the smell of skunk was strong (its a nice smell), no fridge, shared toilet was microscopic. overall this was a good place to crash, but we didn't spend much time here (too much to see in amsterdam).
