By train, from Schiphol Airport: Take the train from the airport to Amsterdam central station. (Costs are approximately 4 Euros per person) This train departs from Schiphol every 15 minutes. Once you arrive in Amsterdam you can either walk to the guesthouse which takes 7 minutes (see directions underneath) or take a small local bus called the "STOP en Go". This one departs outside central station. Ask the driver to drop you of on the corner of the 'Prinsengracht' and 'Prinsenstraat' as the bus has no formal stops.

On foot, from Amsterdam Central Station: Going out of the station go to your right and walk till you see the 1st canal on your left which is the 'Singel' Canal. Go onto this one and walk till you see the 1st small canal called 'Blauwburgwal' on your right (it is just a narrow one). Go into this one and walk straight on into the 'Herenstraat' and then go to the 'Prinsenstraat' where the guesthouse is located. It wasn’t truelove guesthouse antiques shop where we were staying and it was few street away from the shop as to where we were staying at the hotel address was bleuwburgwal (off singel) amsterdam. the hotelier works in an antiques shop. we haven't seen the hotelier at all, all the time we have been there till our departure.
We haven't seen the hotelier at all, all the time we have been there till our departure. they didn't give us enough sugars, tea, milk, toilet rolls which we have to go out and buy the stuff by ourselves which is more expenses that we would have thought that it was including the price of the hotel which is very disappointed i shall look forward to hearing from you again soon. kind regards ruth fletcher and chris myers 15 grace street horwich bolton lancashire bl6 7pp

We were met at the antique shop by james and he brought us to our room about 5 minutes away. the room we were given was a bit dark and very small with a loft bed and the tiniest bathroom we'd ever seen. we were not thrilled to say the least, but when we spotted another room on the same floor being cleaned we returned to the anitque shop to ask if we could have it instead. he checked the records and said it was possible for the 1st two nights, but we'd have to move afterwards. we agreed and then after the first night we were informed we could keep it for the remainder of our stay! we were over-joyed since we were now in a room with a canal view on a beautiful quiet street. if you don't mind not having someone clean up after you daily and you like being left alone, it's sufficient. we were very happy there.
The only negative thing was the first room we were expected to stay in. it was not the kind of room we wanted to spend any time in at all, especially since we were celebrating our 4 year anniversary. i don't think they paid any attention to our note sent through the easy booking website. i don't even know if they received it since we didn't get a response from it. we would recommend this place to anyone, couples or singles, that have a sense of adventure since there is no telling what kind of room you're going to get.

We stayed in a very large and well-located apartment. the neighborhood is quiet and convenient to amsterdam's tourist attractions.
It was a bit difficult to find the shop where the lanslord distributes the key. however, we were escorted personally to the apartment itself.

Our room was at a location different from the shop. it was on a very pretty, quiet street. the room was on the 4th floor, in a remodeled attic. no elevator. the room was very big & had lots of windows, even a little sun porch. nice big bathroom (by euro standards) and a mini fridge. the only main drawback was the ceiling beams were low and my husband is tall (6'2"). he had to duck where ever he walked.
