1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).

2) From Amsterdam Central Station: You can take bus 22 from the square in front of the station to 'Zaanhof/koogstraat'. From there you can walk to the hotel in approximately 2 minutes. The buses and trams in Amsterdam are normally running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

The bathroom of the room i was first allocated was exceptionally dirty - the tiling around the bath was black with mildew so i requested a move - and frankly the bathroom in the second room was only marginally better than the first - but clearly cleanliness is not something high on the hotels list of priorites so i will not stay again, nor will i recomend it to colleagues.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. loved the bar and the location. it isn't in the city center but the bus stop is right out the door. perfect! amsterdam art has the best eggs for breakfast that i have ever had outside of my own home! if i make it back to amsterdam i will definitely stay at this hotel.

A nice, bright, clean hotel - reasonable sized bedroom and helpful staff.
The location was too far out, especially when finding our way back at the end of the evening.

The staff was incredibly helpful in answering our questions particularly concerning local tourism and service issues in the netherlands.
The directions available online were in accurate. there is a more efficient bus route to take from amsterdam centraal. we got lost trying to find the hotel and luckily found a local resident who showed us the way.

Yes there was i have previously stayed at the tulip inn and i never was asked to pay 13 euros when i vacated the room but on my last visit here i was asked to pay this 13 euros which i thought was a joke and was told some story about it being law now for everyone who visits amsterdam if this is the case you should include this for the price of the hotel and not when you leave. i thought this was absolute disgusting and i would consider not staying here again!!!!

The hotel was a pleasure to stay in.
We requested two single beds but when we got into the room we noticed that it was two single mattreses on a double bed frame. this is not what we requested and the staff offered us no solution to this problem. it was stated on the website that a room with a double bed or two single beds could be requested. if i had of known that this incident was going to happen i would not have booked the hotel.

As soon as we entered the doors of the hotel it was a warm and freindly atmostphere i will have no hesitation to book up for this hotel again i will be keeping the address for sure it was perfect for us congratulations on a great hotel well worth every penny thank you kind regards mr/mrs park.

Hotel management located a nearby hotel for my group for 1 night due to this hotel being fully booked through no fault of our own,and arranged free breakfast and taxi transfers. the next day we were transferred back to the tulip inn for the remaining 2 nights our rooms were upgraded to the 4* suites and another free breakfast given on the second morning. the service was excellent and more than made up for the inconvenience caused.
We arrived late evening on saturday 25th july there were 6 people im my group i was informed on check in that the hotel was fully booked, having booked this hotel on line for 3 nights and receiving confirmation the booking had been placed.internet congestion was the reason given.

We had a execellent stay. the room was big, you could even get a smoking room. they cleaned the room every day. excellent location, 5-10 minuts with the bus to the city senter. you could take the bus right outside the hotel.

Couldn't find one iron or ironing board, so had to walk down to my colleagues room to iron my shirt every morning. my internet radio stations didn't work either. apart from that, i thought it was an excellent stay, breakfast was good, the bed was comfortable and they're the important factors in deciding where to stay. it felt relaxing as well. one other thing - pay per view films were sooo expensive. far too expensive so i didn't watch a film despite being on business
